VENT! Dogs are not disposable, returnable objects!! When you buy a puppy, you dont just buy a puppy, you buy a dog and all its stages, you commit to 8 years minimum with this breed, the good, the bad (you train it out of them) and the ugly. You may have to miss out on vacations, your furniture may get chewed up, slobber all over the walls and when you move you will have to make sure these giants can be accommodated! There is absolutely no excuse why anyone should be returning a puppy to me especially in less than 2 years!! This is not Walmart! They are not objects! THEY ARE YOUR FAMILY! If it was only 1 person that did this, maybe i wouldn't be so furious, but this has happened way to much! I cant be quiet anymore! I will always take my dogs back or help you find them a home, per contract and because i truly care about them, but to just return them because they are cramping your lifestyle is just ridiculous! I know drastic things happen in life and that is what my contract is for, there was a death in your immediate family? Ok, i understand. You got divorced and cant afford them anymore? I get it. These are things i know can happen and you cant help it, but you return them to me because you haven't been able to take a vacation? Or you need to take a trip? Or you moved to a home that doesnt allow dogs?! Or they are to much for you?! Not acceptable! Find a trainer, find a dog sitter ect! So next time you are thinking of that cute puppy that only weighs 20lbs, think about that HUGE 120lb puppy that is in its teenage years and is super rebellious that needs training. Are you ready for that? Are you ready for people to be scared of your giant breed dog? Are you ready for double or triple the expenses for these giants than what small dogs cost? If not, DONT GET ONE! I cant believe i even have to say this! These are things every adult should know before committing to a dog!
