Puppy socialization checklist ✔️

During the first few months of your puppy’s life, proper socialization is so important for their development.

here’s our puppy socialization checklist!
🐾exploring different surfaces
🐾watching the world from a safe place
🐾building confidence and handler engagement in various environments
🐾handling paws, ears, nails, basic grooming and health checks.
🐾playing with other *safe* dogs and learning proper social cues
🐾building positive associations with strangers
🐾and so much more…

missing early exposure can lead to developing unwanted behavior issues such as reactivity or anxiety as they age. prevention is easier than repair.

expose them to all sorts of things using safe precautions. make everything fun, positive, short and sweet! It’ll all build confidence that lasts a lifetime.

i’m so excited to introduce, Adventure Walks! 🐾

🐾What are adventure walks?
Structured walks or outings together as a group to provide healthy socialization and activities to upkeep the training you and your pup learned with Canine Avenue!

🐾Why do you offer this?
I want to create a community and safe space for my clients to practice their dog's new or refine skills while continuing to receive guidance from a trainer. These walks are a great way to meet new people, get out in nature, provide exercise for you and your dog, and just have fun!

Adventure Walks are ONLY for current or graduated training clients and are included in your training program at no additional cost!

This is my way of being able to continue the lifetime guidance that I offer to every training client because although your dog graduated from their program, training never stops! 🙌🏼

Eddie is a part of the Day Training Program, which means he comes over for one on one training with me without boarding!

He’s working hard at learning a bunch of new things including place and catching on quickly.

I have a lot of fun hanging out with this silly little dude, there’s a lot of personality in that small body! 🙌🏼

we had a GREAT time at the Columbus Pet Expo!

we attend pretty much every year and it’s always fun looking at all the vendors, seeing new ones and their products!

I also always compete in dock diving there with my personal dog, Storm 🐾
This year was her debut in a new discipline in the sport and she rocked the dock as we like to call it! i’m so proud of my do it all dog.
