(594)

Oahu SPCA was founded to save the lives of companion animals across the islands of Hawaii and became the first no-kill animal shelter in Hawaii's history. For 15 years, Oahu SPCA has dared to challenge the status quo by improving the lives of homeless, feral, abandoned, and abused dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies throughout Hawaii. In doing this work, the Oahu SPCA became much more than the state’

s first and only no-kill animal shelter. The Oahu SPCA is a community center where families come together, volunteer, and learn what it means to be a responsible pet owner. Oahu SPCA also provides the lowest cost sterilization and veterinary services available to the public and has been humanely reducing the homeless pet population by doing so.

🇺🇸 Today, we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

At the Oahu SPCA, we’re thankful for the compassion and support that helps us continue rescuing animals in need every day. 💙🐾

As a reminder, adoption fees are currently 20% off through the end of May*.

Wishing everyone a safe and peaceful Memorial Day weekend.

*does not apply to foster to adopt, only animals finalized same day in May.

Right now, we are beyond full and doing everything we can to keep saying yes to dogs in need. Adoptions have slowed, but the need hasn’t.

Pinkie was found suffering from severe mange, his body covered and uncomfortable from being left without care. At the same time, Lokelani and her three newborn puppies were rescued from their situation.

Now they’re finally safe.

Pinkie has started treatment and is receiving medicated baths, veterinary care, good food, and lots of love as he begins his healing journey. Lokelani is caring for her babies while decompressing and learning she no longer has to survive on her own.

But rescue never slows down.

We are currently beyond capacity, and adoptions have been painfully slow. Medical care, puppy supplies, food, and daily rescue costs are piling up quickly, and we need help to continue saying yes to dogs like these.
