A reminder! Our Paw-tastic Pasta Dinner is coming up in a few days on Thursday, June 25th at Point Breeze Restaurant! Come down during open hours to purchase tickets in advance, and enjoy a great meal for a great cause.

We will also have tickets available at the door, but only have 100 tickets total so we can’t promise they will still be available by the time of the event. 100% of the proceeds will be going to care for our CCC kitties now and for those to come! We will also have raffles to participate in, some come hungry and help us help more cats in our area!

Happy Forever Friday! This week we have a great update from the forever home of Little may and Maya! They were a mother and daughter pair that came to us a while ago and were adopted, then surrendered again to no fault of their own. They waited a bit again but then found their forever forever home! Please read below for the sweet update on these lovely ladies:

“Hi! Hope you are well. 😊

Can’t believe it’s already been 4 months since we adopted May (Little May) & Maya. Just wanted to send a quick update as they have fully adjusted in our home.

Maya quickly made herself at home, no surprise! She always ready to play, and is a great host for our guests. She also loves lounging around on their cat trees and hanging by the windows bird watching with her Mama.

While May isn’t fully ready yet for touching/petting, she did make herself comfortable fast in our place and loves to hang with my husband and I within close distance. She’s especially loves to hang when food and treats are involved, including her favorite lobster temptations. 🦞

My husband and I are truly over the moon, and so grateful to have these girls as part of our little family. Thank you so much for taking such good care of them and bringing them into our lives.

Can’t wait to spend their entire lifetime with them. ❤️”

An update: these two kitties are still looking for a forever home! Their owner is moving in July 1st and cannot take with them, and we would love to find them a forever home before then! Please like and share to spread the word to help them.

Adoption spotlight: wonderful Whiskey!

Whiskey’s brother Shamrock just recently found a home- now it’s Whiskey’s turn! He is a bit shy but likes quiet, gentle attention so we think he would do well in a home without too much chaos or noise. He is a very handsome orange guy with a quiet heart and would love a comfy window to stretch out and bask in the sun.

We don’t know how he would be with dogs but may be alright with a calm dog and a slow introduction. Since he is shy, we think older children would be alright, and we know he gets along with other cats.

Happy Monday! We have an extremely exciting adoption to announce, a few kitties on deposit, and one new kitty this week! Get ready….. Sebastian was adopted!!! He found his forever family and we hope they keep us updated on how he’s settling in. Thank you to his wonderful long term fosters for caring for him and helping him become his best self in order to find his forever home ❤️. We also had Mocha and Shamrock find their forever homes, so good luck to them as well!! Tyga, Rowdy, and Jazzy are on deposit, and Thelma is new this week.

Thelma came in with Louise, the beautiful calico who thankfully found a foster home to care for her diabetes, and Thelma is a sweet, loving tabby girl looking for a nice quiet home to relax and be treated with kindness and love. She also came from the same difficult situation that Louise was in, but she is healthy and also deserves nothing but the best from now on. We do not know how she is with children or dogs, but lived with another cat previously.

Come down to meet Thelma and all our adoptable kitties during open hours each week and maybe find your new best friend! Open hours are as always Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4-7 and Saturday from 10-1. While you’re there during this and next week, you can also purchase tickets to the Paw-tastic Pasta Dinner held on Thursday June 25th from 4-7 at Point Breeze Restaurant!

Adoption Spotlight: Cheeky Cheeto!

Handsome Cheeto is looking for a forever home! He is approximately 12 years old and was an owner surrender due to allergies. He is rather unhappy at the shelter and would really love to find a nice comfy place where he can relax and come out of his shell. He is honestly very withdrawn at the shelter and would benefit greatly from a home where he can take his time getting settled without too much chaos or activity. He spends most of his time hiding in a cubby bed where he cannot be seen, and that is not an ideal situation for him. He deserves a chance to spend his golden years in a comfy home again, like he had before. Could that be with you?

Come meet Cheeto and hopefully find a great match! He is in our shy room and can be visited anytime during open hours, which are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4-7 and Saturdays from 10-1!
