Ballyogue Eventing will have a rough-board stall coming available!

If you're interested in being more hands-on with your horse’s daily care—and saving on board in return—this might be the perfect fit.

We are a private, 6-stall boutique facility located in Thompson, CT, offering a quiet, well-maintained environment and a new 100x175 indoor arena with GGT footing. We prioritize happy horses, high quality horse care, and a positive, supportive barn family.

Boarder responsibilities include cleaning your horse’s stall daily and covering 3–4 “shifts” per week, which typically take about 15 minutes to turn in/out and feed grain. We all pitch in for one another, especially during vacations or busy days.

References will be requested. Owner lives on site. Preference will be given to long-term interest rather than short-term winter arrangements.

Despite having a very busy summer lots of barn maintenance was done! A new sign was added at the end of the drive 🍀 The barn interior was power washed and the ceiling was painted a baby blue to try deter flies. 🫧 The doors and water closet were painted and we added some fun decor 🤪 Poles and jump standards were painted to brighten things up 🎨 And if weather remains nice the barn exterior will be getting a fresh coat 👩‍🎨

On another note! Winter season is right around the corner. Arena rentals will remain $25/horse/hr for both individual and clinic rides. As always, contact Meaghan to be added to the google calendar.

Our arena footing is very special to us. We ask that no dogs visit the ring due to excessive digging lately. Free lunging etc., is not permitted. Footing is ~3” deep, any dig that’s deeper destroys our arena base which cannot be repaired unless the entire footing is ripped up. Meaghan works extremely hard to maintain this facility and we would appreciate this respect!
