This sweet guy is looking for his furever home.

🐾 Meet Derpy! 🐾

Derpy is a 9-month-old sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger desire to belong. He has been in the shelter system since August, and despite that tough start, he has remained open, joyful, and incredibly eager to connect.

In just 17 days at 32 Paws, Derpy has already shown how much he wants to be part of everything and everyone. He doesn’t hang back—he leans in, learns quickly, and genuinely enjoys being included in daily life.

✨ What Derpy does beautifully:
• Walks nicely on a leash
• Knows sit, stay, leave it, and crate
• Plays independently with appropriate toys
• Settles well with structure and routine
• Is social, engaged, and thrives on positive interaction

šŸ’„ His one (and only) work-in-progress:
Derpy can jump when he’s excited. No aggression, no reactivity—just a young dog whose enthusiasm sometimes comes out through his paws. With consistency and continued guidance, this is very manageable—and he’s already showing he wants to do the right thing.

šŸŽ“ Post-Adoption Support Included:
Derpy comes with one month of in-home training support post-adoption if needed, to help ensure a smooth transition and set both him and his adopter up for success.

ā³ Important timeline:
Derpy will be returning to the shelter on January 12th unless he finds his person or a foster-to-adopt opportunity.

Derpy is not a ā€œproblem dog.ā€ He’s a young dog who hasn’t been given enough chances yet—and when he is given one, he rises to meet it. He would thrive in a home that appreciates a dog who already has a solid foundation and is ready to keep building it together.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who is eager to belong and ready to grow with you, Derpy is waiting. šŸ¶šŸ’™

If you are missing your dog PLEASE check the shelters! We are completely full and no available kennels. Rescues are full and can't help with our space issue.
