Two little ponies went to their new families today. Appaloosa now Oakley (Sardonyx’s One With The Trees) went to NJ with Jess and Joe. He will be helping Jess with her house calls as an equine vet.

Shire now Ember (Sardonyx Ember Alloy Indomitable Warrior Princess) went to VT with Harrison and Betsy. She will enjoy hikes in the mountains and beach days at the Jersey Shore.

These two are off to great homes and I can’t wait to hear about their adventures.

We started getting some of the puppies out of the house last week. They had a trip to Home Depot and sat near a heavy traffic road. They were eager to meet new people and handled the store environment well. The road noise was had motorcycles, large trucks and lots of cars. They sat in the crate just taking it all in, no extreme reactions or signs of fear. I use these adventures to socialize them to the outside world but also to see how they react which helps me with placement in new homes.

Extra cold weather couldn’t keep us from the dog show yesterday. Damon and Neptune did a fantastic job in P*e Wee today. There is nothing better than working with your best buddy.
