Today is the day!! It's BACK... and it's bigger than ever!

The Doggone Dog Show returns to Voodoo Brewing Co. - Delafield for an afternoon packed with wagging tails, cold beer, great food, and a fantastic cause!
This year's event benefits the Watertown Humane Society, and there are plenty of ways to help support the animals looking for their forever homes.

Meet Tammy!

Tammy is a 4-month-old kitten who came to us from a farm and is now getting the chance to experience the good life in a foster home. She’s settling in, getting lots of love and attention, and waiting for her forever family to find her!

Since Tammy is currently in foster care so she isn’t at the shelter for walk-in visits. If this sweet girl sounds like she might be the perfect addition to your family, head over to Whsadopt.org and fill out an adoption application.

After 87 days at the shelter, Deuce finally found his forever home!

His new family decided to foster him over the weekend, and by Tuesday they said there was no way they were giving him back. They fell in love with him, and Deuce officially went home for good!

Deuce was a pretty intense guy here at the shelter. He would slam against the front of his kennel when people walked by and could be a lot when other dogs were around. But once he got into a foster home, we got to see a completely different side of him.

This is such a good reminder of how stressful the shelter can be, especially for animals who spend weeks or months here. The constant noise, people walking by, barking dogs and being confined to a kennel can really affect their behavior. Sometimes what you see at the shelter isn't who that animal truly is. They just need a chance to decompress and show you who they are in a home.

And now we get to see Deuce's big smile on the other side of the front desk. After 87 days, he finally gets to go home.

Happy life, Deuce. You were worth the wait!

Today is all about celebrating our best friends, and we want to see yours!

Meet Poppy!

Poppy is a 10 week old puppy who came to us with her two siblings and her mom. She is the biggest pup of the group and will most likely be bigger than her mom who is around 30 pounds. She is currently in a foster home where she lives with other dogs and she has met a cat before and did fine.

Cats, cats and more cats! This week was a great week for all of our feline friends. Maple, Starfish and Coral, Ember, Doodlebob, Scarlet Peacock, Angora and Herdwick, Lyle and Wh**ey, Goldie, Misty, Clover, Ellywick, George, Sheldon and Monte all went to their new homes this week.
