👀 The Creature from Beneath the Bed
Two glowing eyes. One suspicious rustle. And a paw that reminds you your ankles are technically within reach. 🐈‍⬛

Before you call an exorcist, it’s probably just your cat enjoying some privacy.

Why do cats hide under the bed?
🛏️ It feels safe. A sheltered spot lets them stay tucked away while keeping an eye on what’s happening.
💤 They want uninterrupted rest. Apparently, “just one more forehead kiss” is not part of their nap schedule.
🙀 Something feels overwhelming. Visitors, loud noises, new pets or changes at home can send them seeking a quieter space.
🩺 They may not feel well. Pain or illness can also cause cats to hide, especially if it’s a new habit or they’re hiding more than usual.

Give your cat comfortable hiding spots and let them emerge on their own terms. If their hiding habits change—or you notice changes in eating, energy or litter box use—contact us.

They attach to pets and can transmit disease. Check your pet after outdoor adventures and ask us which tick protection fits their lifestyle.

🪱 Intestinal Worms: The Hidden Houseguests
Some pets have no obvious symptoms—and you won’t always see worms in their stool. Stool testing helps us find infections that might otherwise go unnoticed.

🦷 Dental Disease: The Creature Beneath the Gumline

⚓🐾 Before cats supervised our laptops, they helped supervise ships.

A little maritime history for Columbus Day: sailors kept cats aboard to help protect supplies from rodents—and for companionship on long voyages. A pretty big job for someone who naps that much. 🐱

🍬 “I checked the candy. It wasn’t toxic!”
But did your pet eat the packaging, too? 👀

When pets help themselves to Halloween treats, unwrapping is rarely their strong suit. Even if the candy isn’t toxic, swallowed wrappers can cause choking or an intestinal blockage. That’s one trick nobody wants. 🐾

Our team’s advice? Keep candy AND the crinkly evidence out of reach, including in a secure trash bin.

📞 Missing wrappers and a suspiciously innocent face? Call us or an emergency veterinary clinic promptly if you suspect your pet swallowed one. Don’t wait for symptoms—and seek immediate emergency care for trouble breathing.
