🚨 Our shelves are running low, so we're kicking off our Semiannual Food & Litter Drive EARLY! 🐾

After a long, busy summer caring for hundreds of animals, our food and litter supplies are running low. We need your help restocking!

With winter right around the corner, we're asking our community to help fill our shelves and make sure the HUNDREDS of animals in our care have everything they need. ❤️

🐾 Here's how you can help:
🛒 Drop off food and litter at the shelter or a participating collection location on the flier below!
💙 Make a monetary donation to our Special Food & Litter Fund at CedarBendHumane.org/donation or shop our wishlist at https://www.cedarbendhumane.org/wishlist

Every bag of food, container of litter, and dollar donated makes a difference for the hundreds of animals depending on us.

Thank you for helping us stock up for winter! 🐶🐱

For many people, caring for a sick pet can feel just as urgent as caring for a family member.

Italy has clarified protections allowing employees to take paid leave to care for seriously ill companion animals. The move strengthens legal recognition of pets as part of the family, reinforcing existing labor protections and outlining when workers can step away without penalty.

Animal advocates say the clarification reflects how deeply pets are woven into daily life — and could influence similar conversations in other countries.
