CALLING ALL KSDS Graduates and Puppy Raisers! We need your help! We will have a KSDS booth and a presentation at the Midwest Ability Summit on August 9th At the Overland Park Convention Center. It runs from 10 am to 4 pm and our presentation is 2:45 to 3:15. (Thats alot of time we need to fill.) If you have never attended, here's a short synopsis!

"The Midwest Ability Summit is collaboration between several metro-wide organizations. Our purpose is to create a FREE metro-wide ability expo for those with disabilities and older adults, their families, caregivers, healthcare professionals and as an educational opportunity for the entire Greater Kansas City community.

At the Ability Summit, resources will be provided for all of these groups, ranging from educational seminars, to booths for service providers who provide products or services to the disabled community, to booths featuring governmental and not-for-profit agencies. In addition, there will be adaptive sports, exercise and recreational demonstrations.

The focus of the expo is to have a “one-stop” opportunity for persons with disabilities, their caregivers/families and/or professionals who serve persons with disabilities to gain information about valuable resources and products. Attendees will have an opportunity to explore the booths, talk to representatives and trial equipment.

Our goal is to bring together persons with disabilities and the organizations, the products, resources and programs and artists with disabilities to assist with leading full and productive lives."

This month has been BIG for this little pup—I got my BIG GIRL CAPE! 🎉 That’s right, your girl is officially suited up and strutting into the world (courtesy of Hill’s Science Diet, thank ya kindly 😘).

Since then, I’ve been BUSY livin’ my best working-girl life:
☀️ Vacay with my awesome puppy raisers, Sheila and Shane Johnson of Grandview, MO
🐶 Met new pals at the Zoom Room
🏊‍♀️ Hit up my first pool party
🧺 Survived a laundromat
🙏 Visited church
🍽️ Dined out like a lady
🐐 And YES—I even met a GOAT and some bunnies!
