Have you been running hard all summer and now things aren’t seeming to go your way? Has your horse been off, for injury or sickness, and maybe those meds to make them feel better now have them feeling crummy? 🤔💭

It’s time to check for ulcers to get you back in the game for stake race finals, Congress, A Bucking Nightmare, and whatever big plans you have coming up as summer comes to a close!

Here are two “before and after” shots of horses that had stomach ulcers treated for a month. Big improvements for two unhappy horses that are now on their way to big plans this fall feeling much better!

How do you know if your horse could have ulcers? Some signs and symptoms include:
- sour behavior
- irritability when tightening girth
- biting at sides or rider’s foot
- lack of appetite for grain
- soft stools
- irritability or reluctance to perform tasks that used to be easy
- recent history of antibiotic or anti-inflammatory use
*** if you’ve got a tough horse, sometimes no signs that you notice at all!

We had a great time getting to help new and old friends at the Fast Cash Barrel Bash this weekend at Keystone Horse Center LLC. Thank you for all who visited and were patient with us as we navigated a busy, late show!
For those of you who we were unable to help because of timing, we hope to catch you again at another show.
We were close to 50/50 on clean horses vs. bleeders at this weekend's show. New nebulizing protocols were developed, horses were hydrated, and most importantly, people learned some new ways to better care for their equine athletes!
Here are some exciting pictures of what we diagnosed this weekend. From EIPH to laryngeal paralysis to allergies to dorsal displacement of the soft palate- we saw it all!

It’s time to give that Legend! ⏰✨
