Every veterinary clinic needs someone to keep an eye on things, and at Steel Veterinary Services, that job belongs to Bruce. 🐱
Whether he's inspecting the staff, supervising paperwork, greeting visitors, or making sure everyone stays on schedule, Bruce takes his responsibilities very seriously... at least until it's time for a nap. 😴

Today, Bruce was conducting one of his important staff evaluations and making sure management was paying attention to what really matters: treats, head scratches, and quality feline supervision.

One of the most common questions we get with young kittens is:
“Is my kitten male or female?” 🩺🐾

While it can sometimes be tricky — especially in very young kittens — there are a few key differences veterinarians look for when determining kitten gender. Our newest infographic explains how to identify the differences by checking the anoge***al distance and ge***al opening shape. 👀

📌 Remember:
• Male kittens usually have a larger distance between openings
• Female kittens typically have openings that are much closer together
• It can be difficult to tell in kittens under 4–6 weeks old

🌟 Meet the Staff – Victoria “Tori” 🌟

We are excited to introduce one of the faces that helps keep Steel Veterinary Services running smoothly every single day — Victoria “Tori”, our Lead Veterinary Assistant and Assistant Manager! 🐾💙

Tori plays a huge role in our clinic and is an essential part of our surgery team every morning. She assists with patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery care, and helps make sure our surgical days stay organized and efficient.
Beyond surgery, Tori also helps oversee the workflow throughout both the treatment area and front desk, helping our team stay coordinated so we can provide the best care possible for our patients and clients.

One of the things we love most about Tori is her compassion for animals. As she says herself:
“I have 5 cats, I am that crazy cat lady. I think my favorite thing working with pets is knowing I am a part of helping them. Even when they are scared or upset, making sure they are cared for and loving them like they are my own.”

Her dedication, kindness, and love for animals truly show every day at the clinic. ❤️
