Was my childhood dog a BC?
Found these photos of my childhood dog Sheila! We were told she was a BC, but looking back she looks possibly mixed. What are your thoughts?

Tell me your hyper sensitive dog stories!
Picture for tax. Life is a bit heavy right now (not caused by anything dog related) and my very sensitive very aware girl can tell somehow. I thought that I was hiding it very well until we crawled into bed and she didnt go to her usual spot and instead is snuggled so snug against me that im not sure she could get any closer. I could use some heart warming stories from others about how their pets have comforted them or helped them find peace if thats a thing? Even funny stories or things you just love about your pup.

she’s at the end!
I’ll have to say goodbye very soon to my 14 years old border collie. She’s my best friend, I’ve got her when I was 12 so we’ve been through a lot together. I’m not sure how I’ll deal with it honestly, even through I know she had a good life.
At least I have another one too, he’s almost 7 so not young either.

We bought Basil for £200 off gumtree and brought him home in a plastic Sainsbury's crate 13 years ago. One parent was a working dog, and the other an agility dog - Basil was hiding under a water tank while the other puppies were playing. He has been the most sensitive, lovely, friendly dog I have ever known
We live in a small village, and everybody knew him and loved him - he never knew hostility or hate, every person he ever met loved him, as they should, and he assumed every single person he met was his best friend (as they should be)
Will miss him very dearly, and he was an incredible dog - for context, the first photo is when mum got very sick, and this was Basil's first time seeing her in over a month!

A customer at my veterinary office who has a beautifully groomed Border Collie recommended this grooming tool to me, and I’m so glad they did. After just one grooming session, I had a trash can full of loose hair!

The specially designed teeth reach deep into the coat and remove the undercoat with ease. Even my dogs, who usually dislike being brushed, were surprisingly comfortable with it.

When I brought her home, I thought I was adopting a dignified little Border-Collie .
What I actually got?
A clingy, melodramatic stage actress who believes life is a nonstop performance — and I’m her one and only audience.
🚽 Bathroom? She’s there. Staring into my soul like we’re in a tragic romance.
🍳 In the kitchen? She’s breathing down my neck like a judgmental Gordon Ramsay.
🚪 Taking out the trash? She watches from the doorway like I’m heading to war — whispering, “Promise you’ll return to me…”
She doesn’t sit.
She poses.
Legs crossed, head tilted, like she’s starring in a vintage Chanel ad.
✨ She lets out dramatic sighs if I dare ignore her for more than five seconds.
🥣 Once skipped dinner because her bowl wasn’t “facing the right direction.”
And the zoomies?
Oh, dear God.
One minor existential crisis and she’s sprinting through the house like she’s being audited by the IRS.
To date, she has:
Licked every window in the house
Learned how to open the fridge
Stolen a banana, peeled it herself, and left the peel on my pillow like a warning from the Fruit Cartel 🍌💀
