One rainy day, a stray cat desperately scratched at the door of an old man's house and meowed loudly. When the man opened the door and finally realized the reason for the cat's strange behavior, he was completely shocked. π±π¨
A fierce storm was raging outside. The thunder was so loud that windows shook, and lightning tore the sky in blinding flashes. The deserted streets took on an unusual appearance: everyone had taken refuge in their homes to escape the harsh weather.
A few pedestrians, clutching their umbrellas tightly, hurried through puddles to reach their homes as quickly as possible.
Amidst this chaos, a cat appeared. Its striped fur was completely soaked, water dripped from its ears and whiskers, and its large, bright eyes, filled with despair, silently pleaded with passersby.
It looked lost and exhausted, as if something terrible had happened to it. But no one paid it any attention: people hurried past, hiding under their umbrellas. One man even pushed him aside, disappearing into an alley.
The cat let out a pitiful meow and, trembling, approached the nearest door. It rose on its hind legs and desperately scratched the wooden surface. Hoping someone would hear, it meowed loudly and insistently.
Finally, the door creaked open. Standing on the threshold was a man in his sixties, wearing a wool sweater and slippers. He frowned, hoping he'd see a neighbor or a passerby seeking shelter. But to his surprise, he saw the soaked cat:
"What do you want, little one?" he asked softly, leaning forward. "Are you hungry? Wait, wait..."
He returned with a piece of bread and placed it at the cat's feet. But the cat didn't touch it. Instead, it raised its head and looked at it intently, as if trying to tell it something important. Its eyes seemed to be pleading, "Come with me."
Suddenly, it made a sharp turn and ran down the street, meowing loudly and constantly looking back to make sure the old man was following.
The man, although confused, grabbed his coat and went after the cat. And then he saw something scary, which made him immediately understand the reason for the cat's strange behavior. π±π¨ To be continued in the first comment ππ tkns.
