Cassie's Cottage Compassionate Canine Care Sanctuary

Freddie the lemon and white beagle was rescued recently from animal control. He is not a senior nor special needs but he was so terrified in his kennel he wouldn’t move . This poor boy doesn’t understand human compassion so we decided to help him learn to trust and love at CC’s. As you can see Freddie loves Molly B and has taken comfort with her as he navigates this scary world.

Ten months ago we were asked to take in a senior lab as a hospice case . Hospice to us is less than 6 weeks to live ……. Well Lady Lab as we affectionately call her is going on 11months with us with no signs of slowing down. Today she was pampered at Petsense with volunteer hugs, cuddles, lazy time , a bath and de-shed! Lady Lab is the reason CCs was formed and we are so thankful she is with us to keep us on our toes . Dogs are amazing !

We currently have 21 special needs and hospice dogs in our care . We rely solely on donations to stay true to our mission . Every dollar counts !

Lady Lab

Sweet Lady is doing well in hospice care here at CCs. She is extremely vocal about her needs and as you can see in the video the tumor is growing. She doesn’t seem to be in any pain and is active for a girl her age. Lady loves chicken McNuggets, car rides , gooberlicious treats and Purina one can food. We are currently raising money to support Lady and her McNuggets habit!

Pottsey

Anyone looking for a border collie heeler mix ? Pottsey is fully vaccinated, Heartworm negative, basic command and leash trained . He is a super happy boy and likes other dogs . Pottsey was dumped here at CCs gate one night and thanks to some local dog trainers volunteering their time, we are trying to set him up for success with some basic skills so he will be a joy to own.
