Thank you to everyone that donated for the "Elpheba" fundraiser! WE DID IT! We reached our goal of $5,000 to pay off her medical bills. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Elphie is doing well and will be up for adoption very soon!!

Peter & Piper- Rough birthday 3/9/26. Peter-male. Piper-Female

Meet Peter and Piper! This brother/sister duo are on their search for their furever home. They do not have to go home together but would not object the idea. They both are super playful and loving. Chasing one another around the room, playing with the feather wand with human friends, or chowing down on canned food, are just some of their favorite activities. Peter does sneeze occasionally but doesn't affect his day to day activities.

“Frank” and Deb are at TSC on Harding Highway in Lima today making friends! If you are over by the fairgrounds, stop in and see them. Hopefully he finds his forever home!

Frank is a 3 year old male, Beagle/Bluetick Coonhound. He came to us because apartment life was not a good fit for him lol. Frank gets along with everyone and everything!

We would like to introduce you to Elphaba (Elphie). She is a 3 month old American Bully mix. She is an amazing puppy. Loves everyone and all animals.
Unfortunately on Saturday, our night kennel person came in and found her very sick. We rushed her to the emergency vet in fear that we might lose her to whatever was making her feel this way. No one could figure out the cause, but we did know that her sodium, potassium and electrolytes had crashed. She spent two days at the emergency vet, then had a recheck with our vet on Wednesday. We now fear that she may have had an acute adrenal crisis (Addison's Disease). With the right medicine it is very manageable and dogs with it live a normal life. Elphie is doing well as of today and on the right track to adoption!
With the unexpected cost of her treatment, we are asking, anyone able, to please help us recoup those expenses. We will be running a fundraiser until we reach our goal of $5,000. We accept cash, check, credit and PayPal. Thank you in advance for any help you are able to give.

Mingus update! Since our last post, Mingus has been doing great! He is still available for a foster home, or a forever home.

He is still continuing his physical therapy 2 x a week with the help of his transport friends. He is progressing greatly with his therapy and is able to walk short distances without support...as long as he doesn't get distracted. He has made a lot of dog and human friends and overall is just a happy boy. One of our workers recently took Mingus out with her golden retriever Whuzi to the dog park where they had a blast. Mingus being tired out and able to focus on walking, really showed how hard he's been working at physical therapy. Enjoy the videos of him having the time of his life and getting to move those legs again!

Weather permitting, the shelter will be getting the parking lot paved on Wednesday, August 12th. We will be closed for the day as they work on this. The rain date for the blacktop is Wednesday, August 19th. Thank you for your consideration during this time. Meet Feno! This handsome little guy is a 14 week old, DSH male, ready to go home August 13th. He was found wandering around where he shouldn't have been and is ready to wander his way into your heart! While he can be a bit shy at first, he's very playful and also semi snuggly when he's being calm. Feno hasn't been around many cats, kids, or dogs yet, but is still young enough to learn with proper introductions.
