Our best girls would like to let everyone know that we are closed tomorrow 7/4 for the 4th of July! Our normal business hours will resume Monday 7/7.

These pups don’t give a hoot about fireworks, but other pets do. Please be sure that your fences and doors are secure in case a boom makes your critters skitter tomorrow. If your vet prescribes medication to help with this, be sure you’re stocked up and follow instructions to use it!

It’s also a handy time to check that your pet’s microchip information is up to date with your current address and phone number.

It’s a scorcher of a day out there! Walter would like to encourage everyone to keep pets indoors with ample access to water with the temperatures being so high. Walks should be kept to a minimum and only during cooler times of the day.

And if they are extra special in the brachycephalic department (like our French bulldog pictured), air conditioning is often necessary to keep that airway going!

Flash flood warning tonight! Please drive safely and keep your pets away from fast moving creeks and streams.

This weather is also a good reminder to be sure your dogs are up to date on their lepto vaccine if your area vet recommends it. This disease is carried by wildlife and shared through standing water our dogs drink from. Sick dogs can then spread it to immunocompromised humans.

Hopefully the rain lets up soon. We hope everyone stays safe and dry!

Dogs can be so silly, and we are grateful when their owners are vigilant and call right away when they suspect something might be wrong.

On this day one of our favorite Golden Retrievers made some poor choices when her owner left the house.

She amazingly showed no major symptoms, but her owner knew something was wrong-and the X-rays proved them right!

An emergency surgery here at WAH fixed her right up, and she was in fantastic shape at her recheck appointment.

Bet you can’t guess what she consumed… poor choice indeed!

A big congratulations to Dr. Drouin who celebrated 30 years at Walworth animal Hospital. She has been an amazing mentor, leader, and friend to many and we are so fortunate to have her working here with us.

After long consideration and discussion, Walworth Animal Hospital has decided to no longer offer clinic services on Saturdays.

As this may be an inconvenience for many, we appreciate your concern and understanding with this change for our hospital and staff.

Fortunately, urgent care and 24/7 emergency services are now available in the Rochester area. And as always, we will continuously strive to provide you with the best veterinary care during our weekday business hours!

So excited to share that REVS is opening 24 hours on the weekends! (Just overnight hours during the week) at their new expanded location! We are proud of this community and the staff there who have worked so hard for this dream to come true.

Our hours will remain the same as we continue to complete our phased construction.

After surgery, this handsome boy needed something to stop him from licking his incision.

Dr. Campbell is very strict about patient comfort being a priority. She is gentle and kind in a way that brings out the best in the animals she works with.

Plastic cones work, but the avocado was the winning strategy on this day thanks to Dr. Campbell!
