A special plea for Bud🐾❤️
This is Bud. He's been through so much, and now, we're asking for a very special kind of love-the kind that sees past uncertainty and chooses compassion anyway.
Bud came to us limping on his back leg. We took him to the vet, where an X-ray of his left hock (ankle) revealed a bony lesion. There was concern for blastomycosis, a serious fungal infection, but thankfully, Bud tested negative!
We've tried everything we can as a shelter-from various supplements to pain medications, and multiple vet visits. But we've reached the limit of what we can do. To get a full diagnosis would require bone biopsies, more bloodwork, and potential orthopedic specialists. Even then, we don't know what the outcome would be.
What we do know is this: Bud is still full of love. He still wants to be near people. He still deserves a home.🐶❤️
We are looking for someone incredibly kind-hearted who is willing to adopt Bud as he is-to give him comfort, love, and a place to rest his head for as long as he has. His future may include a lifetime of pain management, and his life expectancy is unknown, but what matters the most is quality of life-and he deserves to know what it feels like to be truly loved.
If you can open your heart and home to Bud, knowing all that comes with it, please reach out to us. Even sharing his story helps.
