🎓🐾 Congratulations to our newest Basic Obedience Graduates, Mila and Sadie! 🐾🎓

What a joy it has been watching these two incredible dogs and their families grow over the past six weeks.

**Sadie** won hearts from day one with her sweet nature, beautiful smile, and growing confidence. Adopted by a wonderful family who clearly adore her, she's blossomed into an incredible teammate, approaching every challenge with patience and care. Her dad shared that one of her favorite things is waking him up in the morning and then curling up in his lap "like a cinnamon roll"~which may be one of the sweetest descriptions we've ever heard. 🥰

**Mila** tackled every challenge with the intelligence, enthusiasm, and determination you'd expect from a young German Shepherd. Whether she was learning new skills or conquering brain games, she gave every task her full attention. With her devoted mom by her side and a bright future in Search & Rescue ahead of her, we have no doubt this talented girl is destined for amazing things. Just look at that proud graduation stance! They make an incredible team💛

One of our favorite things about this class was seeing how differently these two approached problem-solving. Mila dove into brain games with enthusiasm and determination, while Sadie carefully worked through each puzzle step by step. Different styles, same success.

And here's a fun coincidence: while Mila is beginning her journey toward Search & Rescue work, Sadie's dad spent years involved in Search & Rescue himself. Sometimes the dog world has a funny way of connecting people and pups.

We're so proud of both teams and the dedication they've shown throughout this journey. Congratulations, Mila and Sadie—we can't wait to see what comes next! 🎉🐾

Neo looks like he just got called into a very important meeting with management. 😄🐾You know, the kind where they ask if you can just "step in the office for a moment"? "Yes mam'!"

Meanwhile, everyone else is cracking up at the conversation…except the little guy in the background, who appears to have his own agenda entirely and is currently considering a social visit across the room😂

One thing we love about group classes is how much personality starts to shine through while dogs are learning. Some dogs are laser focused, some are comedians, some are social butterflies…and somehow we help all of them learn how to work through distractions and stay connected to their humans anyway. ✨

Neo, for the record, was an excellent student here. Smart, thoughtful, sweet natured, and very invested in whatever serious life advice Kate was apparently giving him in this moment. 💛🐾

🎓🐾 Congratulations to Our Latest Basic Obedience Graduates! 🐾🎓

What a wonderful group of dogs and humans!

This class was packed with personality, heart, and so many bright moments along the way.

💙 Boshi stole hearts with his irresistible pug charm and proved himself to be quite the brain game mastermind.

💙 Dango won everyone over with those adorable out-turned paws, sweet spirit, and endless cuteness.

💙 Wylie showed us that confidence grows one step at a time. Thoughtful, incredibly smart, and becoming braver with every class.

💙 Mabel was always ready to volunteer for the role of teacher's assistant! Bright, eager, and every bit as beautiful as she is intelligent.

We often say that great dogs have great people behind them, and this class was the perfect example. Every family showed up ready to learn, practice, and build stronger relationships with their dogs—and it was such a joy to watch.

Thank you all for making Monday nights so much fun. We loved getting to know each of you and watching your progress over the past six weeks.

Please help us congratulate Boshi, Dango, Wylie, and Mabel on their graduation! 🎉🎓🐾

We can't wait to see what you accomplish next!

Special mention to Lily! While she was unable to make the official ceremony with the rest of her graduating class, she absolutely became part of our class family. Watching her settle in, gain confidence, and let her sweet personality shine over the past few weeks was such a joy. We're so proud of her and grateful to her wonderful family for being part of this amazing group. ❤️Congratulations to all! 🐾🌟🎓

Mila appears to be having a very serious discussion with Kate about workplace expectations and compensation packages. 😄🐾

Kate: “Can you focus for me?”
Mila: “I’d like to circle back after reviewing the snack structure.”

One of our favorite things to watch in class is engagement like this—dogs actively thinking, processing, and choosing to interact with their people instead of simply going through the motions. ✨

Training should feel like a conversation, not a battle.
And Mila clearly has many thoughts to contribute to today’s meeting. 😂

Intermediate Class starts Monday, June 15 and I would just like to say…

I’m ready.

Sure, I already know things.
But do you really want me wasting all this potential?

With the right guidance, I could:
✨ improve my focus
✨ be calmer around distractions
✨ unlock advanced super power listening abilities
✨ walk politely on leash approximately 73% more often
✨ achieve world peace
✨ finally stop pretending I don’t hear recall
✨ possibly become mayor of Vista

People could stop us on walks just to admire me.
Children may point and whisper,
‘That dog is extraordinary.’

There could be documentaries.
Parades.
Maybe sponsorship opportunities.

I’m not saying Intermediate class will change our lives…

…but I’m also not NOT saying that.

Currently only 4 of 8 spots are filled and honestly?
That feels a little disrespectful to my future.

Love,
Your dog 🐾

Intermediate starts Monday, June 15th at 11:00 AM at Shadowridge Veterinary Hospital!

For graduates of our Basic Obedience program who are ready to continue building focus, confidence, and real-world skills.

Who knows what hidden talents and untapped potential your dog may unleash? ✨🐾

DeepFrenchie thoughts: "Kate just asked a question that will definitely be on the final exam"🐾😄

Look at that focus.
No blinking.
No notes needed.
Just tiny Frenchie determination and the possibility of snacks. 😂✨

Hello out there...Intermediate Class starts soon and frankly, I’m surprised there are still spots available.

Have you SEEN me?

I already have:
✨ natural charisma
✨ athletic ability
✨ excellent hair
✨ strong leadership qualities
✨ the face of someone destined for greatness

Intermediate class is simply the next logical step in my rise to fame.

With the proper guidance, I could:
🏆 improve my focus
🏆 become more responsive
🏆 really, REALLY improve my leash skills
🏆 achieve emotional maturity
🏆 become the dog everyone talks about at neighborhood BBQs (for the right reasons this time😁)

You may think this is just another training class…

but this could very well be the beginning of our celebrity era.

Think of the fame.
The admiration.
The dramatic slow-motion walking sequences.

And there are STILL spots available?

Interesting.

Love,
Your dog 🐾

Nash arrived to puppy class like many puppies do:
“Excuse me…there are HOW many strangers in here?” 👀

At first, the world felt a little big. Lots of new smells, noises, new people, new puppies, and big feelings for one fluffy little Aussie. So we let Nash take things at his pace—no pressure, no forcing interactions, just some space to observe, decompress, snack on a few yummy treats, and realize nobody here was asking him to be perfect.

And then?
As class started winding down and things got quieter…out came this smile. 😄

That happy face is exactly why puppy class matters. Confidence doesn’t come from throwing puppies into overwhelming situations—it comes from helping them feel safe enough to explore the world one tiny step at a time.

Kate has a remarkable eye for recognizing what each dog—and in this case, each puppy—needs in the moment. That’s part of what makes these classes so special. It’s not just about “sit” and “down.” It’s learning from decades of experience reading dogs, understanding behavior, and helping all the puppies and their people navigate real-life situations with more confidence and clarity.

You're doing a great job, Nash. 💙

✨ Congratulations to our latest Basic Obedience graduates! ✨🐾

Three amazing dogs…
And three teams that put in the time, patience, and work to grow together. 💛

Mia stole hearts from day one with her sweet smile, gentle nature, and quiet sensitivity. There’s something incredibly thoughtful about her — like an old soul carefully taking everything in before deciding how to respond. Watching her confidence grow each week was such a joy. 🌼

Charlie Boots brought the sparkle and enthusiasm! With those stunning markings, happy energy, and “I’ll gladly perform every trick I know for snacks” attitude, she kept everyone smiling. Smart, confident, eager to please, and always ready to work — Charlie Boots made learning look fun. ✨🐕

And then there’s Rex — majestic, brilliant, and full of drive. A seriously hardworking dog with tons of energy and an equally sweet heart. Rex approached training with intensity, focus, and determination, and it was wonderful watching his connection with his handler continue to strengthen each week. 💙

Different learning styles.
Different temperaments.
Different strengths.

That’s one of the beautiful things about dogs — there’s no “one size fits all.” Every dog learns in their own way and at their own pace, and these three reminded us exactly why we love what we do.

Congratulations Mia, Charlie Boots, and Rex! 🎓🐾 We’re so proud of all of you!
