Giddy Update 🐾

Giddy finished all of his medications and he’s healing a little more each day. His appetite is good, he’s moving around the yard with me, and he’s finally getting some real rest. I’m including a photo of his surgical area so you can see how the incision is healing — it was a major procedure, but everything is looking clean and healthy.

It was a big moment seeing him outside again with the other dogs. They’ve been calm around him and seem to know he’s recovering, which has helped him settle back into his routine.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, or checked in on us. Your support has truly helped us through a very stressful week. I’m posting a couple of photos so you can see how he’s doing today.

UPDATE: Giddy is HOME ❤️
Thank you all so much for the support. We’ve raised $2,400 so far, and I’m genuinely humbled by the generosity, prayers, and messages.

Giddy is home after a major abdominal surgery for bloat/GDV. He’s sore and tired, but he’s here — and I’m grateful for every minute with him. The vets said acting quickly made all the difference.

The original emergency estimate was nearly $15,000, but I asked if they could reduce costs wherever possible, and they were able to apply a 10% military discount and work with me. His final bill came out to $10,717, which was a relief compared to the original projection.

On top of this, Giddy had a $6,500 orthopedic knee surgery just eight weeks ago after he suddenly lost the use of his rear leg. I covered that surgery out of pocket, and having this second emergency happen so soon afterward has made things extremely difficult.
Because of everything, I lowered the GoFundMe goal to $10,500, which matches this emergency bill as closely as possible. Thank you again to everyone who has donated, shared, or reached out — it truly means more than you know.

Giddy is back with his pack, he is wearing a protective shirt for his stitches and now resting as he is exhausted. I’ll keep everyone updated as he recovers. ❤️

My dog Giddy went through a life-threatening emergency last night and had to undergo major bloat surgery. He’s still in the hospital, and I’m doing everything I can to bring him home.

Giddy has been with me through every part of my Structured K9 Training program. He’s helped countless dogs learn confidence, calm behavior, and balance. Last night it was him who needed help.

During the procedure, his blood pressure dropped so low the medical team had to manually pump his heart to keep him with us. They told me he wouldn’t have made it through the day without surgery.

He’s fighting hard, and I’m fighting with him.

If you can donate or even just share this, it would mean more than I can say. Every bit of help brings me closer to getting him home and back to the dogs he loves helping.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, prayed for him, or shared his story.
Giddy means everything to me.

🐾 Welcome Willow! 🐾

Please welcome Willow, a 1.5-year-old German Shepherd and our newest trainee at Structured K9 Training!

Willow struggles with intense dog reactivity and door-jumping, but she’s here to change all that. We recently worked with her owner to transition away from the prong collar and introduce her to the Sidekick® leash — a tool that helps guide her toward more calm, focused behavior.

She’s now enrolled in our 3-week Board & Train program, where we’ll be working on impulse control, reactivity, and helping her become a more balanced companion.

Follow along as Willow takes the next steps in her training journey! 💪🐕

Kali the 6-month-old Doberman is entering her final week of our 3-week Board & Train program!
In just two weeks, she’s made huge strides — working through leash pulling, barking, poor socialization, and more. From field trips to structured routines, Kali is learning how to be calm, confident, and respectful in public and at home. Big progress from a young pup with a lot of drive — one more week to finish strong!

Meet Kali — a 6-month-old Doberman with a big personality and a love for, well… laundry 🧺. She pulls on the leash, gets startled by new things, and acts like most curious puppies do. Over the next 3 weeks in our Board & Train program, Kali will learn calm structure, clear communication, and how to focus through distractions. Her family will walk away with a confident pup and the tools they need for long-term success. 🐾💪

Indy just completed our 3-week Board & Train program here at Structured K9 Training and passed with flying colors! 🐾 Meet Indy! 🐾

This energetic 14-month-old golden retriever is just one week into his three-week board and train program at Structured K9 Training. He’s a bundle of joy who loves to jump on furniture and jump on everyone he meets! He also has a quirky habit of eating his own p**p, which we’re working on.

Indy is learning some important skills, as he tends to run out open doors and through gaps in fences. He barks in his kennel and needs help with his doggy manners, especially when it comes to meeting new friends.

The Doberman gang here at Structured K9 Training will be teaching Indy how to socialize properly. Be sure to watch our Instagram stories, as they provide valuable training tips for owners, as well as insights for past and future clients. We’re excited to see how much Indy grows over the next few weeks!

This is Elphie. Elphie needs a home. Her previous owner is moving into an apartment and cannot keep Elphie. Elphie is located in Fresno. Everyone knows I have a weak spot for Dobermans. Elphie was born on October 3rd so she is 17 weeks old.

The first two photos of her were taken this morning. The last photo was her a few weeks ago. The third photo is of her being born. Of course they want a good home for her. If you already have a larger female dog I would advise against having two female dogs in the same home.

If you are close to San Diego, I will work something out with the future owner regarding training. We probably can bring the dog down next week or two from Fresno. I hope she finds a good home. Please commnt in the post and send me a DM so I can point you to the current owner who no longer can keep her.

Sasha turned 10 today. She has been showing some signs of aging. She has some hip problems and struggles to get up at times. It’s now a reality her clock is slowly ticking. I see each dog starting to struggle as their age increases.
In my own life, I have struggled with my own age related issues. We can’t stop time. We have to enjoy each other, our family, our pets, our friends and especially our loved ones. Enjoy your moments with your pets. They might not live with us our entire lives, but we live with them for theirs.
