Sara Allen, the Paralegal for the Veterans' Legal Services Project, was formally recognized by the Office of Congressman Jim Costa for her contributions toward creating the first annual Tulare and Kings County Veteran Stand Down. Sara was a key member of the planning committee, and helped ensure the success of this event. We applaud Sara's passion and unwavering commitment to the veterans of the Central Valley.

RIP K9 Fortune 😞

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Fortune, after a brief illness. He passed peacefully Saturday night with his loving family by his side.

As Tulare County’s first courthouse K9, Fortune impacted the lives of children and victims of crime more than we will ever know. After joining our DA family in 2016, Fortune quickly became a trusted friend not only to those we serve, but to us, too.

We will be sharing more about how Fortune served his community and beyond in the coming weeks. But for now, we will cherish his memory and strive to continue his legacy of serving the most vulnerable among us.
