One whole year of Lola. 🤍

It’s hard to believe this sweet girl has officially been in rescue for 365 days.

She came in quiet and a little unsure, and over the past year she has slowly shown more and more of who she really is. She’s still thoughtful and observant, but once she’s comfortable, there’s a playful, silly, affectionate side that comes out and makes her so easy to love.

Lola has spent a year growing, learning, lounging in sunny windows, and becoming more herself every day.

She’s been patient.

Now I’m just hoping the next chapter finally brings her the one thing she hasn’t had yet, a home of her own. 🤍🐾

A year and a half in rescue… and somehow these two are still waiting. 🤎🍂

Penelope and Belle have spent all that time side by side, growing into the sweetest little duo.

Penelope is the more social sweetheart, while Belle is her more playful shadow, and together they have this calm, cozy energy that feels like home.

With fall right around the corner, I truly cannot imagine two more pumpkin spice-and-everything-nice girls.

They were made for soft blankets, sunny windows, quiet evenings, and having each other nearby.

A year and a half is a long time to wait.

Here’s hoping this is finally the season they get to spend forever together. 🤍🐾

Ophelia is a little extra work… and a whole lot of joy. 🖤

This sweet special-needs girl needs diapers and hands-on care, but she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit.

She loves snuggles, being held, kisses, toys, and LOTS of treats, and she has the biggest personality packed into that adorable little body. 💕

Pink bloomers, a bow, and absolutely no concern about being different.

Ophelia is playful, affectionate, silly, and completely lovable.

My Prue Bear. 🖤🧸

She got the nickname because she reminds me of your favorite stuffed bear: quiet, comforting, always there, and somehow making you feel better without ever asking for attention.

Prue has such a gentle little soul. She isn’t the loudest cat in the room, and she doesn’t need to be. She’s the one quietly nearby, keeping you company, watching the world, and offering that calm presence you don’t always realize you needed.

And this photo might be one of my favorites of her because she’s tucked right in with all the stuffed toys like she’s just another soft little comfort item waiting to be loved. 🥹

Sweet, quiet, cozy, and always there.

In honor of a woman who spent her life leading with kindness, generosity, and so much love. 🤍

For this month’s donation post, it felt fitting to honor Dolly Parton while highlighting the animals who depend on KFM Rescue every single day.

Right now, I have only two bags of Purina Cat Chow Naturals left to feed my 10 adult fosters, and I have no backup bags of litter.

Food and litter are always the two supplies that disappear the fastest around here. Until these cats are adopted, they still need full bowls, clean litter boxes, and consistent care every single day.

My Amazon Wishlist includes several items for the ongoing care of one of my special-needs fosters, Ophelia, along with the everyday supplies the rest of the rescue needs.

And rescue doesn’t stop at the cats inside my home.

I also care for two managed feral colonies, so donations of feral cat food are always deeply appreciated. Kirk is cute, funny, social, playful, snuggly, and somehow also one of the biggest goofballs in the room. 🤍

He has one of those personalities that makes people love him. Kirk wants to be where you are, see what you’re doing, join in on the fun, and then settle in nearby when it’s time to relax.

He’s incredibly playful, wonderfully personable, and always ready to make you laugh with whatever ridiculous thing he decides to do next.

If you’re looking for a cat who will truly feel like part of the family, someone social, affectionate, silly, and endlessly entertaining, Kirk is your guy.

Here at KFM Rescue, we celebrate spooky season early, and honestly, Wednesday & Pugsley have been waiting all year for their moment.

These two are such a perfect pair as we head into the next season.

Wednesday is social in her own special way. She loves being in the same room with you, quietly hanging out nearby and making sure she’s part of whatever is going on.

Pugsley is her wonderfully goofy counterpart: sweet, a little aloof, and truly living up to his name in the best way possible.

Together, they’re calm, quirky, affectionate in their own ways, and the perfect companions for cozy evenings, spooky movies, cooler weather, and all the fall vibes ahead.

They’re ready to find a forever home together and spend every spooky season from here on out exactly where they belong. 🐾🍂

Luna has come so far since she first entered rescue in October 2024. 🖤

She’s blind, but that’s only one small part of who she is.

Luna has the sweetest, quietest little personality. She’s not a cat who wants a loud, busy life. Luna is happiest when things are calm, familiar, and predictable. She needs a home that respects that and lets her settle in and map out her new surroundings at her own pace.

After everything she’s learned and overcome, what I want most for her is simple: a peaceful home where she can stay comfortable, feel secure, and be loved exactly as she is.

She doesn’t need a big world.

She needs the right one. 🤍🐾

This sweet girl has such a calm, gentle presence with an old soul. At 11 months old, Houdini would be happiest in a quiet home where she can settle in slowly, feel safe, and let her personality unfold at her own pace.

This handsome little guy is the full orange-cat experience: silly, snuggly, playful, curious, and always ready to make you laugh.

Goose loves being part of whatever is happening, whether that means chasing toys, following his people around, flopping down for a cuddle, or finding the perfect sunny window to lounge in.

He has that easygoing, lovable personality that would fit beautifully into just about any household. He’s affectionate, social, full of kitten energy, and just the right amount of goofy.

Honestly, if you’ve ever wanted the classic sweet orange boy experience, Goose is ready to deliver. 🐾

At 5 months old, he’s still got plenty of growing and adventures ahead of him. Now he needs a family to share them with.
