Bolt is home.

Placement found!!

🚨 NEW RESCUE NEEDS HELP 🚨🐶
Because rescue never sleeps… and apparently neither do the dogs that need us.

Meet this sweet young boy — estimated 11–13 months old. He’s clearly mixed with something (your guess is as good as ours), and right now he needs a foster or a forever home.

🐾 Not up to date on vaccinations
🐾 Friendly, curious, and just looking for safety
🐾 Needs a soft place to land and someone willing to help him start over

Sometimes fostering hurts.
And sometimes that’s exactly the point. 🐾💔

This poem says everything my heart feels but can’t always say out loud.

Fostering isn’t just about saving a dog
it’s about being the bridge between what was and what can be.

For a little while, Bolt was ours.
We loved him, helped him heal, and prepared him for his next chapter.

Today, that chapter begins with the Bean family
Katie and Sean, thank you for opening your hearts, your home, and your land to Bolt.
Thank you for choosing rescue.
Thank you for giving him safety, purpose, and a forever job he was made for.

Letting go is never easy, but it’s worth every tear knowing Bolt is safe, loved, and exactly where he belongs.

A new dog will need us soon.
And when they do… we’ll be ready. 🐶✨

🚫 Dogs don’t belong loose or loosely tethered in the back of a truck — it’s a deadly combo.

Every year, too many pups are seriously injured or killed because they fall, jump, or are thrown from the truck bed. Even a “quick ride” can turn tragic with a sudden stop, turn, or bump. 😢

👉 Here’s the real deal in California:
📜 California Vehicle Code §23117 says you cannot transport dogs in the open bed of a truck unless they’re properly secured — like in a crate/cage, cross-tethered safely (not just a leash on a collar), or in a space with sides at least 46″ high. Otherwise it’s not compliant with state law. 

That means:
✔️ A loose dog in the back = unsafe & unlawful
✔️ A collar tether that lets them reach the edges = unsafe & unlawful
✔️ A harness + cross-tether OR a secure crate = required by law (or better yet, keep them inside the cab where they’re safest) 

🐶 Your dog’s life is worth more than a “fun ride.”
Let’s make safe transportation the norm — for their sake AND your peace of mind.

The struggle of being 120 lbs of majestic fluff with zero access to chocolate chips is real, y’all. 😂💛

🦴✨ Rescue Updates + a Sweet Reunion! ✨🦴

We’ve been a little quiet lately—because life has been a howling whirlwind (you know how it goes when you run a rescue, raise a family, and try to remember where you put your coffee for the third time today). But we’re back, and we’ve got some beautiful things to share! 💛

📦 First, a huge THANK YOU to Kellyn McDonald for the generous dog food donation! Your kindness is keeping tummies full and tails wagging. We’re so grateful for you!

🌍 Second—and this one made us teary-eyed in the best way—Mimosa’s mama came all the way from Portugal to visit! Watching their reunion was pure magic. These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. 💕🐕✈️

Well, hey there, sugar! I’m Miss Sippy, a sweet tea-sippin’, tail-waggin’ gal with a heart as big as the Mississippi. Rescued and refined, I’ve traded my ruff past for a life of luxury—think sun-soaked naps, gourmet treats, and the occasional squirrel chase (a lady’s gotta have hobbies).

I’m a connoisseur of belly rubs, a champion of couch cuddles, and I never say no to a leisurely stroll where I can flaunt my fabulous fur. My bark? It’s more of a gentle reminder that I’m here and fabulous.

Looking For:
