🐾 FRIENDS — WE REALLY NEED HELP RIGHT NOW 🐾

I’m reaching out to our community because we’re in a tough spot and could truly use support.

We help care for rescued dogs through a small home-based rescue setup—dogs who came from neglect, abandonment, or situations where they had nowhere else to go. Right now, they depend on us completely for food, basic medical care, and daily needs.

Recently, we hit a financial setback that made it difficult to keep up with basic rescue expenses. The dogs still need to eat every day, stay healthy, and receive care—so we’re asking for help to get through this stretch.

🌡️🐾 Friendly reminder from your local dog people…

If the air temp is hot, the ground temp is HOTTER. Concrete, asphalt, and blacktop can heat up fast enough to burn your dog’s paws in seconds. ☀️🔥

🐶 Sidewalk at 85° = around 135°
🐶 Asphalt at 87° = around 143°

That’s hot enough to cause pain, burns, and blistering. If you can’t comfortably hold the back of your hand on it for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for paws. 🖐️🐾

💧Walk early mornings or late evenings
🌳Stick to grass or shaded areas
🚗Never leave pets in parked cars
🥵Watch for overheating and excessive panting

Our dogs rely on us to make safe choices for them. Stay cool out there, friends. ❤️🐕

Oso out here eating better than half the humans in America 😂🐾🍗

“Tonight’s menu for Oso: high-quality kibble, chicken, liver, gizzards, hearts, chicken feet… 🐓

People always ask how rescue dogs heal and thrive — THIS is part of it. Full bellies, good nutrition, enrichment, and being treated like family. ❤️

Safe to say Oso is settling in just fine. 😅🐶”

Watching dogs learn how to be dogs again is one of the most rewarding parts of rescue ❤️

When Oso first arrived, he was extremely nervous and would quietly watch everything from the corner, unsure and exhausted. With patience, slow introductions, regular meals, and a safe place to decompress, his personality is finally starting to shine through.

Thanks to our in-house helper pup Roxy, Oso is learning how to play, trust, and just be carefree again. Seeing him gain strength, confidence, and little bursts of puppy energy each day reminds us why rescue matters so much.

Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but moments like this are the beginning of something beautiful 🐾

🐾 Oso Update 🐾

Took some steps — literally — in the right direction today! ❤️

This morning Oso had a little vomiting after drinking water, which is actually very common when dogs have been dehydrated or haven’t had proper nutrition for a while. The good news is he ate dinner tonight, drank water, and has kept everything down. 🙌

Even better… Oso took TWO steps on the tile floor today! 🥹 That may sound small, but for him it’s a huge victory.

Today was mostly about decompressing. We spent a lot of quiet time indoors and in his crate so he could rest and feel safe. We’ve realized he definitely needs a larger crate — this boy is TALL! 😅

He is extremely underweight, so we are very slowly reintroducing high-protein food to avoid upsetting his system. He also received wormer today.

Right now, Oso needs to gain approximately 50–60 pounds to reach a healthy weight again. Despite everything he’s been through, he also went for a short walk and was able to p**p normally — which is a very positive sign that his digestive system is still functioning despite the dehydration and poor nutrition he came in with.

One tiny step at a time, sweet boy. 🐾❤️

Meet Oso 🐻🐾

Oso has been living at a local solar site, where kind workers and a little girl who lives nearby watched over him and gave him his name. ❤️

This sweet Great Pyrenees boy is gentle, loving, and deserves so much better than surviving out there alone. We are stepping in to help him, but like many rescues right now, we are struggling financially.

We still need approximately $300 to cover the remainder of his immediate veterinary needs, along with additional funds for ongoing medical care, medications, food, and supplies.

Our rescue is currently stretched beyond thin, but we couldn’t turn our backs on Oso.

🛑 ROADSIDE DOG RESCUE — CANTUA CREEK 🛑

This handsome boy has been surviving alone at the entrance of a solar farm construction site in Cantua Creek for several months. Workers and nearby neighbors confirmed he is a stray, and despite being dumped and forgotten, he remains incredibly sweet and trusting. 💔

One detail absolutely shattered me…
He reportedly greets a young girl getting off the school bus every day and walks her home. 😭🐾

Right now his life is in danger every single day. He slowly crosses busy roads while large trucks speed through the area, and everyone fears it’s only a matter of time before he gets hit.

We are trying to intervene before this story becomes another heartbreaking loss.
