This weekend Downtown Virginia!!

ReVive Virginia presents 400 Chestnut Street Block
Benefit for Mesabi Humane Society! A local nonprofit is planning a music event to signal the start of summer.

From 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 6, a variety of musicians are performing at the 400 Chestnut Street Block Party in Virginia. The event is a music fundraiser for the nonprofit 218 LIVE.

Live music starts at 3 p.m. with Christopher David Hanson’s project, The Bewilderness, followed by Stillwater teen rockers Foon at 5:30 p.m., and Rich Mattson and the Northstars at 7 p.m. All musical performances will take place in front of 418 Pocket Park.

The 400 Chestnut Block Party is made possible by sponsorships from businesses, nonprofits and individuals. This event is a 218 LIVE music fundraiser and proceeds benefit the Mesabi Humane Society in remembrance of the life and legacy of Virginia native Mary Kay Hotchkiss. She died at age 71 on Dec. 24, 2025, in Florida after courageously facing breast cancer on and off for more than 15 years.

A recipe for the best day! Next Saturday, The Mesabi Humane Society is bringing their liter of adoptable lab pups to the Maco Theater studio for a cuddly pilates class! Paired with mimosas, a build your own bloom bar by The Bloom Bar by Rylee Jo, and our collection of antique jewelry on site to browse... we are going to have the best day!!

Hello! My name is Kira!

I am a 12 year old female Domestic Short Hair Black cat. I am a very sweet and affectionate girl. I love getting pets and snuggles! I’m not super toy motivated but I do like to play with toys occasionally. However, I am quite active and energetic for my age! I do need to eat special food so my stomach doesn’t get upset (Our veterinarian prescribed her Hills Science Diet Gastrointestinal Biome). I would really love to find a forever home!
