Summer lake days are fun, but they come with risks for your pup. Too much water ingestion while fetching or biting at waves can lead to water intoxication, causing dangerous electrolyte imbalances.
🦠 Blue-green algae, often seen as green, foamy scum on the water, can be deadly if ingested. Keep play sessions short, offer breaks, and always avoid suspicious-looking water.
When in doubt, skip the swim—and if your pet shows any unusual symptoms, contact your vet or emergency clinic right away.
