Happy Halloween from our little lobster and his butter half 🧈

When I saw the lobster costume, I immediately knew what Ceb was going to be this year 🤣 check the commenrs for our family costume from Barktoberfest this year! I was a chef with my pot/lobster. My wife and Brisket were attending the lobster boil 🦞

Then, I found this butter costume TJ Maxx and it was not only big enough, but on clearance!? I spent that $13 for my mental health and it did not disappoint 🤣🤷‍♀️

This is our entry for Wondercide® (as you can see, we have a lot of grass/woods, which means lots of bugs!)

Meet Brisket; realistic edition

If you've been following along with this series, you know that, due to my experiences, I don't adopt under 3yo. This doesn't mean a puppy in a shelter can't be a great dog, this is simply my personal choice

So, when my wife decided that she wanted a Great Dane puppy, I started looking into ethical breeders

We eventually found a litter on the ground in NY, around 6w. I'd seen the litter announcement, but they had homes lines up. Then, one fell through

The breeder was incredible in working with us. She even met up to save us driving all the way to NY!

Brisket and my wife have tried a few sports. He's just happy to be involved! We're excited to certify him as a therapy dog through , hopefully next year!

Preservation breeders are important. Every dog deserves to be well bred 🐾

Cebastian's first win photo 🥹

Not his first win, I just didn't know to get a picture the first time 😅🤦‍♀️

This was special though, since his breeder held his ribbons!

Ceb now has five points and one major towards his Championship!

I'm grateful to his breeder for trusting me with him! He has truly turned out to be everything I wanted in a dog. Showing isn't his favorite, but he loves seeing the people!

After he filled in for Ada at agility class, I realized that may also be something he'd enjoy! So he will be in an agility foundations with Ada Elizabeth Staley next session!

💊 Our dogs are currently on so many medications that our house feels like a pharmacy 😅

💜Nala is on fluoxetine (Prozac) once a day, gabapentin twice a day, and carprofen once a day. Plus, we just started her on a mushroom supplement that's given like a pill because she doesn't like them 🫠

💗Ada was on carprofen post spay

🤍Possum is on meds post neuter

💜Cebastian is back on something for his allergies 🤦‍♀️

Canned food has been a great way to help the medicine go down!

The easiest way is to use one spoon to grab a glob of food, add the pill, then use another spoon to make it into a wet food meatball!

The VeRUS Pet Foods Duck and Potato Paté is the perfect consistency!

If your dog is wary of hidden pills, try giving three meatballs! One empty, one with the pill, followed up with another empty
