Joette Kennel Joette kennel is a family owned boarding and grooming facility dedicated to providing a “home away from home” for your fur babies. We love all breeds of dogs.

Our mission is to treat every pup like our own and every owner with respectful, transparent service. We are located 1/2 mile northwest of Lowder. Joette Kennel is a family-owned business, with the owners living on the property. We have a very caring and dedicated staff that all have the same thing in common--a strong love for animals. The kennel was established for our passion of making sure dogs

are taken care of while their owners are away. We want to be your dog's home away from home. We will love and care for your dogs just as we do our own, because we know how much they are considered as part of the family. We have spacious kennels for your dog, and even bigger ones if you have more than one dog. We have two large and secure fenced yards for your dog(s) to play in a few times each day. If your dog is a little shy of others, we even have a separate room just for him/her to stay in to feel comfortable! All the kennels are air conditioned in the summer, and heated in the winter. We are always guaranteed to have room for your pet, no matter what the occasion may be. We always look forward to seeing your pet(s), and new faces are always welcome! I wanted to let our Joette Kennel family know that my dad, Marvin Barrett, passed away very suddenly.

So many of you knew Dad and talked with him over the years. This loss is very hard for all of us.

For those of you who have dogs booked with us over the next couple of weeks, I just ask for a little extra patience and understanding while we get through the days ahead. I do have afternoon/evening and weekend help. All morning activities related to boarding will need moved to the evening. We will continue doing our best to care for everyone’s dogs the way we always have.

Thank you for loving our family, supporting our kennel, and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. It truly means so much right now.

🐾 HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY! 🐾

One of the absolute BEST things about working at a kennel is that every single day is a chance to meet a new dog and sometimes even a breed we’ve never heard of before! There are so many amazing breeds out there, each with their own unique personalities, quirks, looks, and little things that make them special. From the familiar faces we know and love to the rare breeds that have us saying, “Wait… what kind of dog is THAT?!” 😂 Here’s to all the dogs today; the big ones, the little ones, the goofy ones, the shy ones, the energetic ones, the cuddly ones, and even the ones who keep us on our toes! Happy National Dog Day from all of us at Joette Kennel! 🐾❤️

🐾 Happy Sunday! 🐾

Unfortunately we are back to needing to limit yard time due to having back to back storms and some pretty nasty heat advisories. We finally caught a brief wave of windy, cool weather so we took advantage of that as much as we could this morning. Nonetheless these guys couldn’t be more happy. ❤️
