Hometown Veterinary Clinic of Jacksonville, formerly known as Ebrey Veterinary Clinic, was established in 1975 by Dr. John Ebrey. In 2017, after 45 years of serving the Jacksonville community, and helping countless numbers of animals and their humans, Dr. Ebrey retired and Dr. Hannah Burnett purchased the clinic and Hometown Veterinary Clinic was established.

For years I’ve had clients tell me about stray and feral cat problems in the area, and finally we are able to help out! We are teaming up with Cass County Animal Rescue to do a massive TNR project! Starting with Murrayville, we will be working our way around local towns monthly to help stop over population of strays! If you’ve got a trap we can borrow please let us know!

‼️‼️‼️🐾Great news!
We have a grant to help with the stray cat issue in the area. We won’t be able to get every cat, but we are going to try. We will be trapping, spaying/neutering, vaccinating, addressing medical needs of those cats, ear tipping, and returning them back to their area.
I know many would like the cats to not come back, but they will come back healthy and sterile.
We will let you know when we will be in your area trapping. Please keep your pet/indoor/outdoor cats in during this time. ALL cats that are trapped will be vetted if they are not already. They will also be ear tipped for easy recognition of a TNR cat.
We will be looking for community cat care givers. If interested, please send us a private message to find out more.

That being said, we need to borrow some traps. Does anyone have traps we can borrow? We have some but not enough. If you have a trap we can use please pm us for pick up. Our first TNR is this weekend and we will be trapping all the way through the end of the year.
If you haven’t heard from us yet about trapping in your area, please hang on, I promise we will get to your area.
