Our shelter is full, and we need your help! Every day more dogs arrive than we have space for, and fostering is one of the best ways to save lives. We provide the supplies—you provide the love and a safe place to land. 💙

Fostering is rewarding beyond words—you’re helping dogs learn, grow, and take that important step toward finding their forever family.

We have dogs of all sizes in need of foster homes: big, small, and everything in between. We do ask that fosters live within about an hour of the shelter so the dogs can return for meet-and-greets or vet appointments as needed.

Before our doors even opened today, strays have been coming in one after another. In just the past week, 25 stray dogs have come through our doors at AHS South — and the number keeps climbing.

Every stray that comes in affects the entire dog population at our shelter. We are already stretched for space, and reuniting pets with their families makes a huge difference.

If you recognize your pet in the photos below, please come reclaim them as soon as possible. Getting dogs home quickly frees up space and resources for others who need us. Below each photo is more information on where and when these pets were found.

⚠️ A reminder: Microchipping your pets saves lives. It’s the fastest way to get them back home and helps prevent overcrowding at the shelter.
