Emmanuel has perfected the tough-guy look, but the truth is he’s a total sweetheart. 🧡

After a hard life outside, Emmanuel is finally getting the chance to learn what it’s like to be cared for—and he’s decided he’s a big fan. Gentle pets? Yes, please. Kind people? Even better.

This five-year-old loves leaning into your hand for more scratches and has the sweetest way of melting into affection once he knows you’re there for him. Watching him realize he doesn’t have to do everything on his own anymore is enough to make your heart melt. 🐾

We like to imagine Emmanuel stretched out in a sunny window, taking long naps, supervising dinner preparations, and living the spoiled house cat life he’s always deserved.

Buddha was one of several lucky cats and kittens who found their families and headed home.

While every cat at Pet Pride is surrounded by love, care, and plenty of attention from our staff and volunteers, what they really want is a family to call their own. That’s why adoption days are so special. They mark the beginning of a new chapter filled with familiar faces, cozy routines, and the comfort of finally being in their forever home.

Thank you to everyone who chose adoption this weekend. Every adoption changes a life and helps us make room for the next kitty in need. 😻

Daria is currently our longest-waiting kitten, but she hasn’t let that stop her from making incredible progress. While she’s watched many of her kitten friends find homes, Daria continues to grow more confident every day—and we know her perfect match is out there.

This sweet girl has discovered that people can be pretty great, especially when they come with gentle pets and patience. Once she feels comfortable, Daria enjoys affection and loves spending time with her feline friends.

Another week of showcasing some of the amazing cats waiting for forever homes at Pet Pride! 💜

This week’s photos are a reminder that every cat’s story looks a little different. Some are the first to greet visitors. Some are content watching the world from a cozy corner. Some will instantly start purring the moment you reach out a hand. 😻

What they all have in common is that they’re still waiting for someone to choose them.

Every day, these cats show us their resilience, their personalities, and their ability to trust and love again. We can’t wait for the day their shelter chapter ends and their forever home chapter begins. Sometimes a gal just needs a little encouragement, as Salem can tell you.

Confused at first about her new surroundings, Salem chose to stay in one room to observe for a while. She watched. She listened. She dictated notes into an iPhone 10 she pulled from under her bed. And after a while, she understood that the strangers around her wanted to help. They greeted her in soft tones. They brought delicious delicacies for her to sample. They seemed to know what each cat liked and didn’t like. And the other kitties would bump these strangers’ hands and rub against their legs, looking for affection.

And guess what? Salem now wants that too! This sweet one-and-a-half year old rubs against legs when volunteers enter her room. She purrs, enjoys being pet, and rolls over during visits, showing how much she enjoys their companionship. She’s even graduated to wand toys, which greatly absorb her attention. Now all she needs is her own forever home. Yours perhaps?

May was a month full of new beginnings at Pet Pride. 🐾💜

From tiny kittens finding their first homes to adult and senior cats finally getting the fresh start they deserved, May was filled with happy endings and hopeful new chapters.

Thanks to our incredible supporters, volunteers, fosters, adopters, and everyone who joined us for our Kitten Shower, we celebrated over 50 adoptions this month! Every name on this board represents a cat whose life changed forever and a family that opened their heart and home.

While we welcomed many new intakes throughout the month, seeing so many cats leave for loving homes reminds us why we do what we do.

Thank you to our community for being part of their journey. Here’s to even more tails finding their happy endings in June. 🐱💕

What an INCREDIBLE Kitten Shower! 💕🐾

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us today. We welcomed 133 groups and families through our doors for a day filled with kittens, smiles, and community support. 🐱

From face painting and raffles to delicious treats from the donut truck, it was a wonderful day celebrating kitten season. Most importantly, our cats received so many generous donations that will help us care for the little ones in the weeks ahead.

And the best part? 🥹

🐱 15 kittens found homes
🐱 2 kittens were put on hold
🐱 1 senior cat was adopted
🐱 1 adult cat was adopted

That’s 19 cats and kittens one step closer to forever homes in just a few short hours. 💜

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, attended, adopted, and helped make today such a success. Every donation, every visit, and every adoption helps us continue our mission of giving cats and kittens the care and second chances they deserve.

We’re so grateful for the support of our amazing community. 🐾💜✨
