💔 550 days.

That’s how long Gomez has been at Pet Pride, waiting for someone to finally choose him.

Gomez came to Pet Pride after his owner could no longer care for him due to health reasons. He lost the home and person he knew, and ever since, he’s been waiting for his next chapter to begin.

And he’s still waiting. 🥺

At 10 years old, Gomez might give off a little “grumpy old man” energy sometimes, but we promise there’s a sweet boy underneath it. The truth is… Gomez just really doesn’t like other cats. 😂

He knows what he wants, and that’s a peaceful home where he can be the one and only. 🐈‍⬛

No other cats. No other animals. Just a calm, quiet home, a patient person to love him, and a place where he can finally exhale and know he belongs. 🏡

For 550 days, Gomez has watched people come through the doors. He’s watched other cats meet their families and head home.

And every day, Gomez keeps hoping his person will walk through those doors too. 💔

Somewhere out there is someone who doesn’t need a house full of pets. Someone who wants one special companion. Someone who will look at Gomez and say, “You’re coming home with me.” 🖤

We know the right home for Gomez is out there. 🖤

And when that person finally finds him, they’re going to get to see the side of Gomez we’ve grown to know and love. The sweet boy who just needed someone to understand him, give him his own peaceful space, and choose him exactly as he is.

Meet beautiful Boo Boo. 🤍🐾

At 14 years young, Boo Boo is a sweet senior girl who deserves to spend her golden years knowing just how loved she is.

Boo Boo has experience with kids and does well with other kitties, making her a wonderful companion for a family looking to give a senior cat a special place to call home. She’s gentle, affectionate, and very appreciative of every bit of attention she gets. 💕

And you’ll know the second Boo Boo is happy because you’ll hear it. Start giving her some pets and her loud little purr immediately starts vibrating away. 🥹

There’s something extra special about earning the love of a senior kitty, and Boo Boo has plenty of love left to give.

At 14, she isn’t asking for much — a cozy place to curl up, gentle pets, a family to love, and a home where she can enjoy all the comfort and attention she deserves. 🏡

August was a wonderful month of adoptions at Pet Pride! 🐾💜

A total of 89 cats found their forever homes, including 2 cats from our Blue Collar Cats program! 🏡

But this month was especially meaningful because one very familiar face finally got the happy ending we’ve been waiting for. After spending 2 years with us at Pet Pride, Llamrei found her forever home. 🥹❤️

Every adoption is worth celebrating, whether a cat is with us for a few days, a few months, or a few years. Seeing 89 cats begin their next chapter with families of their own is the perfect way to close out August.

Thank you to every adopter, volunteer, supporter, foster, and friend of Pet Pride who helps make these moments possible. Here’s to even more happy endings in September! 🐱🏡💕

We can’t believe our sweet Bitsy is still here. 🥺🖤

If you’ve visited Pet Pride, there’s a good chance you’ve already met her. 🐈‍⬛

Bitsy is the girl who follows visitors around, hoping maybe THIS will be the day someone chooses her. 🏡

At 5 years old, Bitsy knows exactly what she wants: her own person. 🥺

She LOVES humans. She’ll sit on your lap, hang out on your desk, follow you from room to room… basically, if you’re there, Bitsy wants to be there too. 🥹

The only thing Bitsy isn’t interested in? Other cats. 😂

She would be happiest as your one and only kitty, soaking up all the love and attention for herself.

She has so much love to give. She’s just waiting for someone to finally say: “Come on, Bitsy. Let’s go home.” 💜

Morgan is 4.5 months old and has the sweetest, most affectionate personality. She can be a little shy at first, but give her the chance to feel safe and comfortable, and her loving side starts to shine. 🐾

Junior is a calm and sweet boy with the
gentlest little personality. He loves soft pets, quiet attention, and giving all that love right back. 🤎

You’ll usually find him tucked away in one of the quieter spots at Pet Pride, happily watching everything from a distance. But once you sit with him and give him a few gentle pets, his sweet side comes right out. He’ll warm up, rub against you, and happily lean in for more love. 🥹

At 2 years old, Junior is ready to find a home where he can feel safeand have someone to love on every day. He may be a quieter guy, but there’s so much love waiting underneath. 🐾🤎

One of our staff members got some more photos of a few of the many cats here at Pet Pride who are still waiting for their forever homes. 📸🐱❤️

Some of these faces may look familiar, while others you may be seeing for the very first time. But they all have one thing in common… they’re still waiting for someone to choose them. 🥹

Every cat here has their own personality and their own story. Some will walk right up and ask for attention the second you meet them. Others might hang back and need a little more time to decide you’re someone they can trust. Some are playful and silly, some are professional nappers, and some just want a quiet place to curl up next to their favorite person. 🐾

Our staff and volunteers get to know and love these cats while they’re with us, but nothing compares to seeing one of them finally leave for a home of their own. 😻

So take a few minutes to look through these sweet faces. ❤️

Maybe one catches your eye. Maybe you recognize one and can share their photo. Or maybe someone on your friends list has been thinking about adding a new family member.
