Happy Birthday Doc. G!!

If you see this man, wish him a happy birthday!

Many of you know Dr. Gluckman as a beloved vet at Mendon Village Animal Hospital, which he opened in 1979 and where he practiced for more than four decades. Others know him as the board president and medical director of Pet Pride of New York, which he co-founded in 1977. In 2023, he opened the Healing Paws Medical Center at Pet Pride so that we could provide in-house veterinary care for our cats and kittens while they await adoption. Dr. Gluckman’s compassion for animals and their caregivers, his dedication to Pet Pride's mission, and his continued leadership provide daily inspiration to all of us, while his sense of humor keeps us laughing. He has touched thousands of lives, both feline and human, and we are all richer for knowing him. Happy birthday, Dr. G!

This week we are celebrating our amazing, caring, hard working Client Service Coordinators for Veterinary Receptionist Week!

Today, they got a little break from the hospital and got hibachi for lunch.

Okay, we know this is the 3rd update to this list in as many days but this is for a really good reason!
Rochester Emergency Veterinary Services has announced that beginning tomorrow (Friday 4/11) at 7pm, their facility will officially be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Just a minor update to our Emergency and Urgent Care Resource list - Elemental Pet Vets is no longer offering urgent care services.

Things to know:

- If your pet was microchipped by us at any point, they have a Home Again chip, NOT a Save This Life chip
- We can scan your pet's microchip anytime to confirm the manufacturer for you
- This is also a great reminder to double check that your pet's microchip information is up to date, with your current address and phone numbers on file. Many pets are found with microchips that trace back to old contact information, which defeats the purpose!

Uli decided to take advantage of our little cubby hole in the exam room today! We're used to seeing kitties snuggle up in here, so this was a change!

The animal hospital will be closing at 12pm on Tuesday, December 24th. We will be closed all day on Wednesday the 25th, and will reopen at 10am on Thursday, December 26th.
