Grand Hall broke his maiden in style today at Colonial Downs! The 3-year-old son of Ghostzapper, out of Dance All Day, returned to the races after nearly seven months away and made his first start on the turf a winning one. On his third career start, Grand Hall took Race 6, a $70,000 Maiden Special Weight going 1 1/16 miles.
Congratulations to our trainer Michelle Nihei, jockey Carlos Montalvo, and the entire team behind Grand Hall on a well-earned trip to the winner’s circle! 🌴💚

Three new additions are joining the Tropical Racing stable. 🌴🐎

From the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale; Purchased for $300,000. Hip 28, a chestnut c**t by Practical Joke out of Moanin (FR) (Medicean). His sire, Practical Joke, is a multiple Grade 1 winner and proven sire of top-level runners, while his female family brings a strong European influence.
Purchased at the Fasig-Tipton New York Bred Yearling Sale, Hip 403, a chestnut filly by Midshipman out of Little Brave, by Indian Charlie, was secured for $200,000, while Hip 395, a dark bay/brown filly by Zandon out of Lady Thornhill, by Stormy Atlantic, was purchased for $55,000.
We’re excited to welcome these yearlings to the Tropical Racing family and look forward to watching their futures unfold. 💚
