It don’t always go as planned like series 4. Series 5 was a challenge. C**t needed my help on the middle bird with a handle. First handle we have had to use. We didn’t get video of the 2 blinds but they were good. Moving on to the final series tomorrow. Series 6

Here are the 4 series that we ran this weekend. C**t was able to pull out a 6th place finish.

1st series was a field trial triple, run the blind after the marks go down then the 2 outside gunners retried.
2nd series was an HRC style hunt test , start the test with a quack from the line while sitting on a bucket and shooting from the line no noise from the hidden gun stations , dog has to follow the gun to see the marks , after the marks go down run the blind first.
3rd series was a double blind past the poison bird mark thrown from a simulated white coat flyer station. On the water blind need to put the dog on the point within 9 yards of the poison bird then put them back in the water.
4th series was a hunt savey test with a walk up mark and 3 other marks , pick up 1 mark and run the blind.
We had a great weekend with some great people and seen some awesome dog work. Very proud of C**t for the large variety of challenges he was able to tackle. Handler error on my part accounted for well over 200 of our points. SRS is not for everyone. As one handler put it. It’s called the Super Retriever Series not the Good Retriever Series for a reason !

C**t pulled out a 6th place finish this weekend at the WATKC SRS Competition. Thanks to the judges and all the great workers for putting on such a well run event. Congrats to all our fellow competitors on you your placements.
