For those of you attending the Memorial Picnic and Dog walk in honor of Frank, please read: We can't wait to see you all on June 22! We just have a few requests and reminders to follow to make the day a success! Let's show Frank we remember his training and tips!

✓Pinch collar and 6ft leash on all dogs. NO flexileads.
✓When walking, remember Frank's common courtesy rule - 3 to 5 ft between dogs
✓If you're concerned about your dog around people or other dogs please consider using a muzzle.
✓If you would like to relax and be able to visit freely but are concerned about your dog, please consider bringing a crate or, weather permitting, leaving him/her in your vehicle in the shade.

We want this to be a relaxing and enjoyable event in honor of Frank, not a stressful situation for you or your dog. We currently have over 40 dogs/people confirmed which is a lot of dogs around a lot of people and food. We need to be mindful of our dogs as well as the other attendees and their dogs. Frank loved these types of activities so let's make it a great day in his honor by keeping everybody safe.
There are picnic tables available, however to ensure there's enough space, you may want to bring your own lawn chairs. This is rain or shine.

Many of you have been asking about services for Frank. There will be a public service to be held at Muskego Park at a date yet to be determined based on when the park opens and has a pavilion available. The service will include a dog walk/parade along with military honors. Please watch for further announcements. Thank you for your support and condolences. -Dana

It is with immense sadness that I am sharing the news of Frank's passing. Frank passed away yesterday, with Dana by his side.

Dana and I want you to know how much joy you brought to Frank's life these past few weeks. All your kindness and generosity meant so very much to Frank. You gave him peace of mind knowing that his beloved Sanctuary dogs will continue to be cared for. You brought smiles to his face and eased some of his pain with stories that were shared. Frank changed many lives for the better, both canine and human. Plus, he literally saved the lives of so many dogs that just needed time, patience, love and training to thrive.

Please continue to share Frank's work. Show your dogs kindness, patience and love when they need it along with continued training. Their is no greater love than a loyal dog.

At this time I do not have any additional information to share as Dana is working through details. I will provide more updates when they are available. Once again, thank you for everything you have done for Frank and his beloved Sanctuary dogs. We are forever grateful.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Everyone!

This is Dawn and I am writing on behalf of Frank and Dana. At this time Dana is spending most of her time caring for Frank and taking care of the Sanctuary dogs.

Both Frank and Dana, as well as myself, are overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude by the abundance of support you have all provided for Frank's Sanctuary dogs. You have generously donated through GoFundMe, participated in walks, chili dinners and other events to provide Frank's dogs with food, shelter and companionship. Some of you have shared stories and photos on the Rocks Positive K9 Training FB page which have brought smiles and happy tears to Frank and Dana. I think anyone that reads the stories will agree. And, all of this at a time when so much is going on involving your own lives concerning the holidays. You all are the most amazing friends and family members. Many people who do not even know Frank personally have made donations, offered prayers and donated time. This makes every one of you part of a big, extended family. A family of people who care about animals as well as people. At this time, when so many rescues are at full capacity and so many animals are homeless you have made a difference. That truly matters to Frank. Never, ever stop the fight to save helpless animals.

Frank, Dana and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and we are filled with gratitude for everything that you have done. I'd like to share some photos from previous years, during the holiday season. You may see some familiar dog faces. One of my favorites was Wilbur, who some of you may remember. Wilbur was part wolf and Frank's main man, so to speak. I remember a time when Wilbur basically just sat on my lap while I was brushing his coat. He was magical!

Attention dog owners: Please be aware of any lumps that you see, especially on the limbs. The lump in this photo grew to two inches in just a few months and turned out to be a fast growing cancer called a Soft Tissue Sarcoma. Have them checked by a veterinarian as soon as possible. The lump in the photo was easily removed and the outlook is very good.

Once again, we are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity that is being shown to Frank and his dogs. The German Shepherd Dog Club of Wisconsin held a fundraiser for Frank and his sanctuary dogs yesterday. Many people and their dogs braved the uncooperative weather for a hike followed by a chili dinner at the GSD Club. It was a fantastic day of people coming together and making new friends for a deserving cause. We want to graciously thank everyone involved, from the organizers and volunteers from the GSD Club, to all who walked and/or engaged in the chili dinner, plus those who were not able to participate but still sent donations. We cannot thank you all enough!
