Y'all!! I'm so freaking happy to share this update! My little kinked baby, an Arctic PPE that I named 'Quasi' just ate her first unscented whole (small) pinky BY HERSELF yesterday 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥳 Look at that belly! 🥹

She hatched on 4/2 and I tried tempting her with every scent in my arsenal, but had no luck getting her to eat... so on 4/29, I assist fed her a small mouse tail for the first time (in the rest of pics and video) to see if she could even digest with how kinked she is. She did! So, for the next 3 weeks, we basically alternated between trying all of the scented pinkies again + assist feeds & one force fed pinky head last week.

Yesterday, my girl decided 📣 SHE WANTS TO LIVE 📣 & I am having such a "proud mom" moment, so wanted to share her progress 🥹📣👏🏻🥳🥳🥳🐍🐁⚜️

Another double clutch today from our girl, Lilu! 10 beautiful, fertile eggs - yes, even that little guy! Hopefully it makes it through incubation. I'm always rooting for the underdog 😆🤞🏻🫶🏻

Hoping to prove at least the het Sable or Ax with Lilu, & whether or not Mars is Arctic 🤷🏻‍♀️⛈️🥚🤞🏻⚜️

Today is a great day! Got a beautiful 2nd clutch from Endymion, 9 gorgeous fertile eggs, so hopefully we'll hit an Acid Rain this season! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Also, one of my tree peonies is in bloom (Alice Harding in case anyone is curious) - definitely a reminder to stop and smell the flowers, literally. 🌸

Well, my weirdo Mystique laid her second clutch yesterday. All the energy she put into laying this year (when she was supposed to have the year off!) & both clutches were mostly slugs. The slug-looking eggs in this 2nd clutch have weird/ interesting darker spots inside, so I'm incubating anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Updated pics of her first clutch in the last three photos. Two of the five that looked okay initially have baby snakes in them, but one is really dented already and they still have two weeks to go, so🤞🏻

🚨This makes 4 clutches from Mystique between last season and this season from one pairing in February 2025. 🤯‼️🥚🤷🏻‍♀️⚜️

Very early this morning I was gifted this lovely little 2nd clutch from my girl, Rowan! I say gifted, because that's really what this one feels like. I missed her first clutch being laid (she laid and buried her eggs in her aspen) & by the time I found them a couple days later, they weren't salvageable - see last pic. Soooooo, very excited to be given another chance with these. 🍹🥈🥚🫶🏻⚜️

I'm so excited about this future pairing. This may seem like a really basic combination to some, but to me, the monochromatic simplicity is so captivating! It feels like Arctic and Axanthic BELONG together, and I can't wait to make more of these beauties and Super Arctic Axanthics 😍🩶🫶🏻⚜️

Well, it finally happened. I always knew it would eventually, but had been lucky up to this point.... An hour after grabbing the initial pic and video, I went back to check if she was finished, and she had eaten half of what I had seen her lay. 🥴🫣🫠

Did I mention I just fed her a small mouse coated with supplements yesterday so she would have the strength she needed?? 🥚🐍🤷🏻‍♀️⚜️
