It's story time, and it's not a happy story....but here we go.....we bought Lexie lue and Boris to have a couple litters of kittens a year....we bought them from a reputable (so we thought) breeder....she stated the cats were vetted and health tested.... i will say that I wish I would have resurched more about health testing.....we had babies....and one of the babies had 1 copy of the hcm gene....so we tested momma and daddy.....and daddy had 1 copy of the hcm gene....we were devastated...vet and breeder both said oh continue breeding him.sell them for pet only.....that is not the choice we made....we had him fixed he is a happy pet....momma also had to have an emergency spay after 3 retained placentas ....our male was replaced he is hcm negative and we are keeping 2 female kittens that are also hcm free.........we are taking a break for a year....not because we wanted to but that's what fate had for us....I needed to be honest and up front...I have reached out to all my families that have purchased kittens from us to let them know .....I know how I felt when I found out, it was hard!! I will always run my business with honesty, integrity and love for the families and my kittens!!
