Nail care is so important to the health and structure of your pups. Long nails are painful and a broken one is crippling for several days. Nail trims are a walk in service. We are open 9 to 5 Tuesday through Saturday.

Appointment Remiders!!!

Some people are not receiving our appointment reminders you are most likely an AT&T customer in which AT&T has changed their rules and regulations so you may not receive automated messages. Please follow up with your carrier or write down your appointment. We are not responsible for a carrier not delivering messages to their customers for whatever odd reason they want to control your services that you’re paying for.

Deshed Baths available! It’s that time of year where dogs are starting to blow their coats and we’re happy to help you before it gets out of hand! We do not have any haircut appointments available.
Let us show you the difference our bath and brush services can make for you and your dog! All our bath services include a true deshed at no extra cost, not just a blow out with the dryers! Our staff is well trained and well equipped to get that pesky hair off your dog. Weather changes weekly in Kansas have many breeds blowing coats and leaving it everywhere at home. We are committed to get as much coat out so you can enjoy the more fun activities with your pet.
Services include:
• a before bath bush out and de-shed
• bathed twice to get them extra clean
• gland expression
• blown dry by hand (dog willing)
• repeat de-shed and brush out
• nails trimmed
• trimming of feet, pads and sanitary areas
We have appointments available for these services usually within 3 to 7 days. We charge by breed and no hidden fees or extra charges. Please call 316-755-6701 to schedule an appointment today!

Backroads Grooming customers if you cancel 36 hours or less no matter the issue you have to pay for your appointment. We can simply not afford to lose spots when we’ve held the spot for you specifically if it is not paid, we will no longer be able to accept you as a client. We apologize for any inconvenience, but this is costing our small business financially, and we cannot sustain at this rate. If you cancel while we’re closed and your appointment falls in the 36 hour cancellation policy You’re still responsible for paying for that appointment. You must call to cancel if we do not answer. Leave us a voicemail. We will call you back as soon as we’re not busy with a client dog.

69th St N and Meridian Ave Road Closure

Meridian to 61st street is open to clients!

Due to current road construction, the intersection at 69th St N and Meridian Ave will be closed through mid summer. Right now we are being told mid June is the earliest it will reopen when the roundabout is finished. We understand the frustration this brings to our clients and do apologize for any inconvenience that this causes.

Attached is a map showing a detour to our facility coming from the south. We do have signs up stating which way to go or you can follow these directions:

Coming from the South

North on Meridian to 61st St.

Turn Left (West) on 61st St

Travel West on 61st St to Sheridan Ave.

Turn Right (North) on Sheridan Ave.

Travel North on Sheridan Ave. to 69th St.

Turn Left (West) on 69th St.

Travel West on 69th St. until you have arrive at Wag'en Tail Ranch

Coming from the North

South on Broadway or 135

Turn Right (West) on 85th St N to Sheridan Ave

Travel West on 85th to Sheridan Ave

Turn Left (South) on Sheridan Ave

Travel South on Sheridan to 81st (Main)

Turn Right on 81st (Main St)

Travel West on 81st (Main St) to Hoover Rd.

Turn Left (South) on Hoover

Travel South on Hoover to 69th St

Turn Right (West) on 69th St

Travel West on 69th St until you arrive at Wag'en Tail Ranch

Construction detour will be for several months

Starting tomorrow, March 17th, the intersection of 69th and Meridian will be closed until mid summer! Please follow the detour signs at 61st and Meridian to Wag’en Tail Ranch and Backroads Grooming!
