28 DAYS LOST • RED COLLAR CALLED IN • HOME IN UNDER 5 HOURS! 🐾

After 28 days missing & DRAGGING A LEASH in the desert, Red Collar Rescue & Recovery was contacted to help bring this sweet girl home. Our team got to work tracking her travel route, developing a recovery strategy, and strategically deploying a humane trap. In less than 5 hours from trap deployment, and in under 8 hours from contacting us, this sweet pup was SAFE and back in the arms of her family! 🐾

We don't wing rescues. We TRACK, STRATEGIZE, and use top-tier equipment with live monitoring to give every recovery the best possible chance of success.

And behind every successful rescue are incredible volunteers — often out in the field in their PJs, in the middle of the night, doing whatever it takes. It takes a special kind of person to show up for dogs and families they've never met. I love our volunteers! ❤️

Join me in celebrating and rejoicing that this family has their sweet girl back where she belongs! ❤️

Do you know someone who has lost their dog? We offer FREE resources on our website, along with Lost Dog Consultants who guide families through the recovery process. And when humane trapping is needed, we have the expertise and equipment to help make it happen.

Visit www.TheRedCollar.org, follow along, share our mission, and help us reach the next family who needs us.

Because, EVERY DOG DESERVES A WAY HOME. 🐾

UPDATE!!! SAFE!!!!!

TUCSON, AZ

Red Collar Rescue & Recovery is actively working with this pet owner-

🐾 📣 HOW CAN YOU HELP?
DO NOT GO OUT AND SEARCH ON FOOT - it can do more harm than good and push an already scared dog into hiding or move from the area.

📸 Snap a photo of this flyer and SAVE IT TO YOUR CAMERA ROLL.

📞 Spot this pup? Call the number RIGHT AWAY.

🚫 Please don’t chase, whistle, make kissing sounds(as tempting as we know this is!), or drive toward them — it can scare them off.

✨ And one more thing: DO NOT POST SIGHTINGS on social media (no one has time to sit scrolling all day and that can result in critical leads being missed!)

🎥 Check your Ring and security cameras — you might catch a glimpse that helps bring them home. Again - if you see this pup, even on your security camera, call the phone number immediately and do not post to social media.

🐾❤️ COMMUNITY, CONNECTION & KEEPING OUR DOGS SAFE! ❤️🐾

Today, our President/Founder & Trapping Director, Mechelle, had the pleasure of spending time with the Green Valley Recreation Canine Club in Green Valley! 🌵

Mechelle shared the heart behind Red Collar Rescue & Recovery, along with important tips on preventing your dog from going missing and what to do if the unthinkable happens. Because when a dog goes missing, knowing what to do — and acting quickly — can make all the difference. ❤️

One of the sweetest moments of the day? The club surprised Mechelle with this awesome clay paw print as a token of appreciation! 🐾🥹 It’s a meaningful reminder of why we treasure the relationships we build throughout our community.

At Red Collar Rescue & Recovery, we believe every dog deserves a way home, and we are incredibly grateful for the people, clubs, businesses, and organizations who help us spread awareness, share knowledge, and make a difference for lost dogs and the families who love them.

Would you like Mechelle to speak to your club, company, school, or organization? We’d love to connect! Whether it’s lost dog prevention, what to do when a dog goes missing, or the work we do to help bring lost dogs home, let’s start the conversation!

📩 Request Red Collar to speak through our Media & Community Outreach page:

🐾 SPIKE IS SAFE! 🎉

Lost for 8 days, this smart boy figured out how to navigate to his brand-new home… he just wasn’t quite ready to give up on his unapproved & unsupervised adventure. 😂

We can’t thank his owners enough for reaching out to us within 1 day of Spike going missing and following our guidance every step of the way. ❤️

Red Collar Rescue & Recovery set up a feeding station monitored by our Spartan Go Live camera and deployed a humane trap once he showed his face on camera.

🌙 Night 1: Spike ghosted us.
🌙 Night 2: He showed up again, but wasn’t ready to commit
🌙 Night 3: GOTCHA! Success! 🎉🐶

Spike is now resting easy with his family, and his case is officially CLOSED! ❤️

Apparently, Spike just needed three business days to review our proposal. 😉🐾

Another dog home safe!
