Thursday & Friday 12:00-5:00
Saturday & Sunday 12:00-5:00
We are closed Monday - Wednesday

The SPCA of Solano County is a small but passionate animal shelter located on Peabody Rd in Vacaville, CA. The animals available for adoption at our shelter are provided with the best care possible. The shelter guests come from a variety of different situations and we try

to make each and every one as comfortable as possible while waiting for their forever home. We are always looking for dedicated and passionate animal lovers to volunteer at the shelter. If you have extra time and would like to help the SPCA with our mission please contact as at: [email protected]

Hello Chai was adopted last weekend so this is Hilary and Indy the co- spokesdogs for the SPCA. Let me tell you a little bit more about oursellves. We are both active cattle dog mixes looking for that special active family to adopt us. Hilary came to the SPCA 2 months ago and is looking for her forever home, while Indy was adopted during the Cal Animals adoption event and returned because he was just to active for the adopters.
This week we have a lot of new kittens but next week more dogs will be rolling in. Please remember depending on the animal or the breed of dog you choose, if you are lucky it could be a 15 year commitment! We have some newly available dogs, puppies cats and kittens. Just a reminder, when you are adopting a pet: Please take the time to meet the scared ones, the shy ones, the ones that don't stick out to you, the ones with boring colors, or missing limbs, the ones with the gray muzzle, the frail ones. They HAVE NOT given up. They just need you. And maybe you just need them too. We are open Wednesday from 2 to 5 pm and Thursday - Sunday from 12 to 5 pm. Make sure your dog is fully vaccinated prior to coming to meet one of our canine residents.!
