Wengerd Sport Horses Rachel has been riding horses since she could walk. Malt and Rachel also began a career in eventing together when Rachel was twelve years old.

She grew up at Knightwynds Welsh Cobs where she got to enjoy riding everyday as well as playing with the foals and learning how to handle everything from newborn foals to the breeding stallion. Rachel has achieved her C-2 and H-B pony club ratings with the help of her two welsh cobs, Crossroads Rose and Knightwynds Single Malt. The pair quickly fell in love with eventing and over the years have ma

de it to the training level with very limited training and funds. She is currently training with Lainey Asker, Francesca Nicoletti, and Noel Williams. Who have all helped Rachel tremendously these past few years. Rachel hopes to do her first one star in 2013. She also enjoys working with younger pony club members and anyone who wants to begin riding or move up the lower levels. She hopes to begin obtaining her ICP in the USEA. Rachel also enjoys breaking young or inexperienced horses to ride. As well as riding Rachel has grown to enjoy combined driving, and works as a navigator and groom. Her family has taught her a lot about driving horses and she has spent some time breaking a few driving horses and puts mileage on green driving horses.

I am so proud of my baby stallion Top Gun RCL (Floris x Bretton Woods) he was such a good boy! He behaved so well this weekend at the ESDCTA Dressage Breed Show in NJ.

Under Anne Moss Sunday Maverick scored a 79.665 to win the three year old c**t class and be the Born in the USA High Score Colt/Gelding.

He went on to be the Champion Colt/Gelding, Reserve Champion Young Horse, and was the Grand Champion! I am just so happy I have always loved this boy and this was definitely a wonderful way to end the weekend

Knightwynds Cover Girl our yearling section D Welsh Cob Filly (by MHS Cool Jazz and out of Knightwynds Model T)

Giselle went to her very first USDF Breed show this weekend and got to learn all about horse show life. She was a rockstar and I am so proud of her!

Knightwynds Fire Storm and her young rider Ruby had a great time at their first show of the year yesterday. Stormy is one of our homebred Welsh Cobs by *Friarly Benjamin and out of Knightwynds Guinevere. At 23 she’s still loving life teaching and thinking she’s a 5 year old.

What a lovely Mothers Day spent with my daughter. Allie and Viva attended their first combined test finishing 3rd place on their dressage score after a double clear round on their first stadium round together. I couldn’t be more proud of this team.

Viva is available and ready to continue with her next rider. She is fantastic with a young rider.
