The Utica Zoo actively participates in The Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan and cares for several endangered and critically endangered animals. The Utica Zoo asks that all visitors follow posted COVID-19 guidelines and protocols. The Utica Zoo creates unique experiences and promotes public appreciation of wildlife through education, conservation, and recreation. Located in t

he Roscoe Conkling Park, the Utica Zoo was established in 1914 as part of a recreational complex made possible by the donation of land from Thomas R. The Zoo had grown from its beginnings of three Fallow Deer donated by the New York Zoological Society to its present collection of species of animals from around the world.

Do you have a young artist between the ages of 1-17 years that would like a chance to design the custom paint job on the Dilophosaurus that will be arriving in May? Join our coloring contest! All skills, styles, and techniques are welcomed! Download and submit your design by March 31.

The Utica Zoo education team will pick the top 10 entries to be included in a social media contest from April 1 – April 6. The coloring sheet with the most LIKES and/or COMMENTS will be the winner.
