A good portion of the US is hot as heck! Please remember safety issues! (Not only for your pet but for you as well!)
-Please do not walk your dog on the sidewalk or pavement when the temp is up! Test the temperature of the pavement with your hand!
- If you have a Frenchie, Bulldog, any short nosed breed take extra care! ( or overweight dogs) They are already breathing impaired!

🚨 BIG NEWS🚨
For the first time ever the Prince George’s County shelter is cohosting an informative outdoor cat session with local cat rescues.

The best animal welfare rescues will still be limited in their impact if they are unable to work with the county on progressive practices. Cat rescues in PG have been working as a group, meeting with the county shelter for 3 years with the goal of improving quality of life for outdoor cats. This session is a direct result of all of this effort.

On Saturday March 29th, the inaugural community cat workshop will take place INSIDE the Prince George’s county shelter. Help us spread the word!!

We want everyone in the county to know what actions to take if they see a cat living outside. What resources are available to them and even how to mitigate any problems outdoor cats can cause.
