Jedi is a happy, friendly guy who loves to **PLAY**, especially when toys are involved! 🧸 He’s a generous little Jedi too. He didn’t mind sharing his toys and even bravely rescued one from the water! 🌊

He already knows **sit and shake**, enjoys getting plenty of pets, and had no trouble going potty outside several times. 🙌🐶

🦀🐱 MEET SKY: A SENIOR QUEEN LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME 👑❤️

Sky is a gorgeous brown tabby senior who has officially become one of our biggest Maryland 3000 + NBC4 Clear the Shelters ambassadors. And yes, we put a Maryland crab hat on her.

Okay… it’s actually a lobster. 🦞
We know. We’re sorry, Maryland. 😂

But underneath that fabulous headwear is a sweet 12-year-old spayed female who is looking for something much more important than a costume: a quiet place to relax, feel safe, and be loved.

Sky is friendly and approachable and enjoys affection, head rubs, and gentle pets. She also has a little independent streak. If she’s not in the mood, she may let you know she would prefer some personal space. 👑

Life in a shelter kennel can be stressful for any cat, especially a senior. Sky really seems to settle in when she has access to our larger interaction rooms. When she isn't napping or enjoying some well-deserved me time, she likes watching the world go by from her kennel door.

During one-on-one time outside her kennel, Sky enjoys:

🐾 Exploring
❤️ Head rubs and gentle pets
👑 Stretching out and relaxing like the queen she is
🪄 A few rounds of lower-energy wand toy play
😴 Plenty of comfortable nap time

🐾💙 **MEET TAZ! YOUR NEW RUSSIAN BLUE LOVEBUG!** 💙🐾

We’re pretty sure Taz has been quietly building a fan club at the shelter, and honestly… we get it. 😻

Meet **Taz**, a gorgeous **14-month-old Russian Blue** with plush fur, adorable cheeks, and a personality that is impossible to resist!

Taz is **super friendly, confident, and comfortable meeting new people.** He is also not shy about letting you know when he’s ready to get out of his kennel for some love, exploration, and, of course… **BELLY ROLLS!** 😂💙

At **13 pounds**, this handsome guy is basically a big teddy bear with whiskers. 🧸🐱 He loves being held and cuddled, but he also has plenty of playful energy. Give him a wand toy and watch him **SLAY.** 🪄🐾

Taz is confident in new surroundings and was wonderfully mild-mannered when walking past other cats. He even stopped to say hello to some of his cat-friendly neighbors!

❤️ **RAYMOND NEEDS A QUIET PLACE TO EXHALE.** ❤️

Sometimes, the best Doggie Day Out isn’t an exciting adventure. Sometimes, it’s simply a quiet trail, a car ride, a little chicken and rice, and a peaceful place to nap.

**Raymond really needed that.**

Raymond has been having a difficult time adjusting to the noise, activity, and stress of kennel life. Despite receiving medication for a URI and five feedings a day, the shelter environment is taking a toll on him. He’s losing weight and beginning to shut down.

So, thanks to one of our **approved Champion Volunteers**, Raymond got a much-needed break from the shelter through our **Doggie Day Out field trip program.** 🐶❤️

His day was intentionally quiet.

🌳 He walked a secluded trail at Watkins Regional Park and was wonderful. He walked calmly, never pulled, and handled different surfaces, including bridges, with ease.

🐿️ Squirrels caught his attention, but Raymond remained calm.

🚗 He rode quietly in the car. At first, he laid down, but eventually he sat up and began looking out the windows.

🛍️ At Pet Supplies Plus, he calmly wandered around, greeted employees, and even tolerated a bath like a champ.

🥹 And when he returned to the shelter? Raymond curled up on his bed and fell asleep. We actually had to wake him up for his chicken and rice meal.

**A quiet afternoon seemed to suit Raymond.**

Now he needs a home where he can have that same sense of calm every day.

He needs a **patient person, a peaceful environment, and time to decompress.** A home could make all the difference for this sweet boy.

Both kittens will need a little extra **TLC, patience, treats, and head rubs** as they settle into a new home. Give them a little time to feel safe, and you’ll get to watch their personalities bloom. 🌸🐾
