Forgotten Dogs Rescue is a foster based nonprofit rescuing homeless dogs in Washington State.

Forgotten Dogs is a foster home based rescue organization located in the Tri-Cities and Seattle areas of Washington State. While Forgotten Dogs will take in any breed, we primarily rescue Pit Bull type dogs and mixes and other bully breeds. We focus on rescuing dogs from shelters, especially in Eastern Washington.

We save the dogs that need help the most, the dogs whose time has run out, the d

ogs who have lost all hope—the forgotten dogs. Our Commitment
Once a dog enters the Forgotten Dogs Rescue program, we are committed to it for life. Our dogs live in private foster homes where they receive love, training, and learn to be members of the family. They receive all necessary medical care, and if they come to us with behavioral issues, we invest in training. We are committed to do whatever is necessary to help them become adoptable and find them amazing forever homes. And if at any point an adoption doesn’t work out, we will always welcome the dog back into our program. We make a promise to all of our dogs that they will never again be forgotten.

🐾 Join us on August 16th from 5–8pm at The Redd Dog U-Pour Pub in Bellevue for a fun-filled evening with adoptable pups, great food & drinks, and a chance to make a difference.

Puppies Pepper Jack and Gorgonzola 🧀 will be there along with Potato 🥔 and Fern 🌿—and they're all excited to meet new people and potential forever families!

Along with meeting some of our adoptable dogs you can also learn how to adopt, foster, or volunteer, and treat your own pup to something tasty from the doggy menu.

The Redd Dog offers a self-pour tap wall with beer, cider, wine, and non-alcoholic options, plus pub games, TVs, and a great patio to hang with your crew—two- and four-legged alike. 🍺

Kimber is settling in like he’s been here forever—and keeping us entertained every step of the way. We thought he was probably a hound mix… but we decided to do a DNA test just to see. We’re curious… what do you think he is? Drop your guesses below!

He’s melting! Somebody get the spatula—Ferdinand had such a blast zooming around the yard today that he’s turned into a puddle.

Between chasing bunnies, tracking birds, and generally living his best outdoor life, he’s officially out of fuel. Now it’s all floppy limbs, heavy sighs, and the slow slide off his bed.

10/10 day. 12/10 nap. 💤🐶

This is Blanche — she’s three months old, weighs about 3.5 pounds, and may actually be made of clouds.☁

Breed? We’re guessing poodle-ish… Maltese-ish… adorable-ish for sure.

She’s got a little mystery happening with her bum (there’s a chance she was born without an a**l sphincter), but if you know us, you know we have a soft spot for pups with quirky medical stories. Blanche fits right in.

Blanche came to us from Tri-Cities Animal Services and is heading to the vet this week to get the scoop on her health. In the meantime, she’s busy being tiny, fluffy, and criminally cute.

Turns out Winston absolutely LOVES camping! He's been having a blast adventuring with his foster fam this summer. Here are a few more fun facts about 3-year-old Winston:

Our little gremlin king, Leroy Brown, is officially 100% recovered from his BOAS surgery—and breathing like a whole new dog!

He’s still having some occasional regurgitation (because of course he is 🙄), even though we repaired his hiatal hernia. So he’s got an appointment with the awesome team at VSC Internal Medicine in a few weeks to see what’s going on.
❤
In the meantime? He’s chillin’ with his new bestie and FDR alum, Pebble! If you’ve been following us a while, you’ll remember Pebble—another medical case we patched up good as new. Now he’s the ultimate foster big brother and taking Leroy under his (adorable) wing.

Who We Are

Forgotten Dogs Rescue is a foster home based nonprofit rescue organization located in Washington State.

We are dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs in local shelters, given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, or in danger of abuse or neglect.

We were formed in 2011, and have foster homes in the greater Seattle area and in the Tri-Cities area.

Who We Rescue

While Forgotten Dogs will take in any breed, we primarily rescue Pit Bulls type dogs and mixes and other bully breeds. We focus on rescuing dogs from shelters, especially in Eastern Washington.

We save the dogs that need help the most, the dogs whose time has run out, the dogs who have lost all hope—the forgotten dogs.
