Coyote Attack đ
Rescue Lyfe got a call about a Border Collie puppy, approximately 6 months old, who had been attacked by a coyote DAYS ago and left untreated here in 29 Palms. đłđ I went and picked her up.
The people who lived at the property moved out and left her and her sister behind. đ Rescue Lyfe now has both girls.
Neighbors heard screaming and ran outside, only to find a coyote dragging this poor baby away by her neck. đ I was also told their mom was killed by coyotes.
Ivy is all cleaned up from her attack. Sheâs on antibiotics now.
But I want to use Ivyâs story as an awareness post, because this is happening far too often.
Ivy was attacked in 29 Palms. When I got to Veg, I had to wait a long time because two other dogs were there being treated for coyote attacks â also from 29 Palms. đł
Ivy is only 18 pounds, and a single coyote was literally strong enough to drag her away by her neck.
The other two victims were Dachshunds. Sadly, one of them didnât make it. đ
Just a couple weeks ago one of my clients lost their dog to a coyote.
Please, please donât let your dogs outside alone â even in your own yard. Coyotes are out there, and they can move incredibly fast. Small dogs are especially vulnerable.
Ivy was lucky. â¤ď¸âđŠš
Please keep an eye on your babies. A backyard is not always a safe place. đžđ
