Last week was an amazing one for our rescue – so many of our precious pets found their forever homes! 🐶🐱💞

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible:
💙 Our wonderful fosters who gave these pets love and safety until adoption day
📸 Our photographer for capturing their sweet faces
🐾 Our vets and staff for making sure they were healthy and ready for their new lives
🚙Our transporters, who got our pets where they needed to go, with love
🏡 And most importantly, the incredible adopters who opened their hearts and homes to give one (or even two!) of our pets a forever family

Today we celebrate all the incredible dogs who bring love, laughter, and joy into our lives. 💕 At Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue, we have so many wonderful pups—big and small, young and old—waiting patiently for their forever homes.

Every single one of these dogs has a story, and each one is ready to write a new chapter with a family who will love them unconditionally. 🏡🐶

🚨 FOSTERS NEEDED! 🚨

We have four beautiful Siamese kittens who desperately need foster homes so they can get the socialization they need to thrive. 💙 These babies were born in a backyard and have been cared for, but now it’s time for them to learn what it’s like to be loved in a home.

Fostering is so important and with just a little love and patience, they’ll blossom into amazing companions.

✨ What we need:
• Foster homes willing to help socialize these sweet kittens.
• Ideally, they should go in pairs (unless you already have another young, friendly cat for them to bond with).
• Fostering could be as short as a month or less—just enough time to get them adoption-ready!
• If you fall in love, they can be foster-to-adopt! 🏡

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue provides everything you need—food, supplies, vetting, support. All you provide is love, patience, and a safe space. 💕

💙 Foster Needed for Sweet Patrick 💙while under doctor’s care.

Patrick is a darling kitten currently under the care of an ophthalmologist for an eye condition. He had his appointment today and will go back in one month for a follow-up. After that, he’ll be ready for adoption—but in the meantime, he really needs a foster home.

We do have other kittens he could be fostered with, and our rescue provides everything you need—supplies, vet care, and support.

Fostering saves lives, and we truly couldn’t do this without our fosters. Please consider opening your heart and home to Patrick, even just for a month. He will thank you with love and purrs, and you’ll be giving him the best gift—comfort and care while he heals. 💕

Our rescue is overflowing with tiny kittens AND dogs, and they need homes NOW! 💕

Dobby, Mrs. Norris, Celena, and Aeline, Earl ❤️ (along with many others!) are all spayed/neutered, about 10 weeks old, and ready to hop on transport to their forever families next week.

💫 So Many Happy Tails! 💫

Last week, a lucky bunch of our rescue pets made the journey to the New England area… and every single one went to their forever home! 🏡✨ Our hearts are full knowing that these sweet souls are now where they belong — with families who will love them forever. 💖

We could not do this without our incredible team. Thank you to our amazing fosters, dedicated transporters, talented photographer, wonderful veterinarians and staff, and every single person who played a part in getting these animals home. It truly takes a village, and we’re beyond grateful for ours.

And the biggest thank you goes to our adopters — thank you for opening your hearts and homes to one of our rescue pets. YOU are the happy ending we work so hard for. 🐶🐱💕

From our amazing fosters, transporters, photographers, supporters, our vets and staff. Of course our biggest thank you goes to our amazing adopters who adopted a pet in need. We’re forever grateful! We are a non-profit organization located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Our mission is to make a difference by rescuing as many homeless and unwanted animals as possible. We focus on rehoming these animals into loving homes, while also striving to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. There are hundreds of animals euthanized daily due to overpopulation in shelters. One of the main issues causing overpopulation of these animals is the lack of spaying and neutering. We need help from our community, volunteers, fosters and adopters. Without you, our work wouldn’t be possible. Please consider helping us or your local animal rescue today!
