Good Morning π
As you all get ready for go home day I wanted to share with you a collar and slip lead I like.
This is based on my experience.
Babies are growing well!
They will continue to grow by leaps and bounds in the coming months so please pay attention to their surroundings, chew toys they may outgrow and any collars, leash or other set ups and tools you uses with them.
I use a slip leash for my dogs, especially when they are young so they learn not to pull. I like the new biothane ones so they can get wet and not smell over time.
(Iβll post a picture).
Also, you can help train them to pay attention to what YOU are doing on a walk and follow your lead by changing directions a lot. You can even do that in the house, before they are allowed to go outside (needs all shots first).
If you are going to use a collar, I like the break away ones for dogs, so it has less of a chance of getting caught on something and choking them when unsupervised .
(Iβll post a picture).
The slip leads also help when they are young because they grown fast and can wiggle out of collars.
Your new addition will come with a microchip. Please follow your Veterinarian advice on when to have them place it and then remember to register it with AKC reunite.
We will be joining you all by keeping a baby for ourselves π.
Looking forward to sharing the journey with you. π₯°
