👻 Who’s haunting your barn? 🐴

We’re having a little Halloween fun at Northern Grace! I’ve dressed Mabel up as a ghost for Halloween - now it’s your horse’s turn!

Here’s how to join in:

1. Save the blank ghost horse template and upload it to ChatGPT.
2. Tell ChatGPT: “Using this template, create a ghost horse based on what you know about my horse. Include details that show off their personality!”

3. Once it’s complete, post your finished ghost horse in the comments below with their name!

Will yours be sweet, sassy, a show-pen superstar… or the reason the treat bucket is empty? 😂

Let’s see those Northern Grace spirits! 👻

A strong connection starts from the ground up.

Limited spots are still available in our From the Ground Up Part III clinic this Saturday.

We’ll explore liberty, groundwork, and body control, then take those skills under saddle. Through practical exercises, we’ll refine your feel and timing, understand how your horse moves, and build clearer communication between groundwork and riding.

Build a clearer conversation with your horse and a stronger foundation for every ride.

9 AM–1 PM • $125 per participant • Limited to six participants

As always, auditors are welcome!

Contact Northern Grace Performance Horses to reserve your spot.

Some horses just have that WOW factor — and Awesome is one of them!

With a winning résumé in reining, ranch riding, and ranch versatility, this handsome gelding has the talent, experience, and presence to get you noticed every time you step into the show pen.

Awesome has been in my program for the past four years, and I can tell you firsthand — this horse is the real deal!

He’s the definition of been there, done that, with gorgeous sliding stops, stylish spins, effortless lead changes, and an incredible neck rein. Soft, responsive, and an absolute pleasure to ride, he’s the kind of horse that makes you smile every time you swing a leg over.

Looking for a confidence-building partner to get started in reining? A competitive mount for Green Reiner through Rookie? Or an exceptional addition to a youth program? Awesome checks all those boxes!

And about his age? At 17, Awesome is living proof that age is just a number when you’ve still got the moves! Don’t let the year on his papers distract you from the horse in front of you. His video speaks for itself!

What a way to wrap up our 2026 NWBC show season! 🏆

We headed into the final show of the year ready to ride, have some fun, and hopefully come home with a few good stories. We definitely accomplished all three. 😂

It wasn’t a weekend without its challenges, and there were definitely a few moments that required some grit, patience, and perseverance — but this crew kept riding, kept smiling, and finished strong.

And we came home with some pretty special accomplishments:

* Gunnashowtheboys & Peggy Bond-Heath — ABRA Open All-Around Reserve Champion
* Gunmetal Whiz & Olivia Cruz — Youth 18 & Under All-Around Reserve Champion
* Ziva the Diva & Allie Patton — Amateur All-Around Reserve Champion
* Ima Rich Cowboy & Crystal Barker — ABRA Amateur All-Around Reserve Champion

Apparently we had a theme going this weekend… Reserve Champion. 😂
By the time the fourth one rolled around, we figured we might as well just commit to it.

And those all-around awards only tell part of the story. We had other members of our team turn in some outstanding performances throughout the weekend, and I’m incredibly proud of what each of them accomplished in the show pen.

Our team photo is also missing a few important faces! The show ran late, and by the time we finally gathered everyone for a picture, some of our crew had already headed out. So while they may not all be pictured, they were absolutely a part of this weekend and this team. ❤️

A big thank you to NWBC for putting on such a fantastic show. The competition was great, the awards were amazing, the walking taco dinner was a hit, and the entire show was so well run from start to finish. We truly appreciate all the time, effort, and heart that went into making the weekend such a fun experience for everyone.

We were also really missing two of our team members who got sick and had to cancel at the last minute. We missed having you there with us and definitely felt your absence throughout the weekend. We’re already looking forward to having the whole crew back together and seeing what 2027 brings.

More than the awards, I’m proud of how everyone handled the tough moments, supported one another, and still managed to have a genuinely great time doing what we love.

Apparently perseverance, good horses, good people, and a healthy sense of humor make a pretty solid show strategy. ❤️🐴

Great job, team — what a fun way to finish out the NWBC circuit.

Fall is here, and it’s one of my favorite times of year to slow down, reflect on what we’ve learned, and start looking ahead. Every season teaches us something. As we wrap up 2026 and begin preparing for 2027, I want to invite you to invest in yourself as a horseman. When you step into a lesson or a clinic, you’re adding tools to your personal toolbox—skills and knowledge that stay with you no matter what horse you swing a leg over.

Our October clinics are small by design—limited to just six riders—so there’s room for individual attention, real conversation, questions, and hands-on learning.
OCTOBER CLINIC SERIES
October 3rd — Ranch Riding: Polish and prepare October 10th — annual Spooky Trail Clinic October 17th — reining fundamentals II
October 24th — from the ground up: session III 9:00 AM–1:00 PM $125 per clinic • limited to 6 riders auditors welcome $35

Come spend a fall morning with us. Let’s take what this year has taught us, keep building our horsemanship, and put it to work as we look ahead to 2027.
