Northern Grace Performance Horses Equine Training Facility

Hello RRHA family and friends! We have exciting news!
Our 2026 show dates are locked in!

We are sure everyone will notice that we are now going to have our shows in Eugene,Oregon at the Oregon Horse Center!

The RRHA board did not take the decision to move our shows to Eugene lightly. OHC has an wonderful facility that allows us more room to show, is fully covered and has ammenities not available for an equine competetion facility in Southern Oregon. Eugene is also more centrally located, allowing for more people to attend.

We look forward to seeing all of you in 2026!!!

As of today, there are *NO CONFIRMED CASES* of Equine Herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1) in Oregon. The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) continues to monitor the situation closely and remains committed to protecting equine health across the state.

While Oregon remains EHV-1 free at this time, horse owners and equine facility managers are encouraged to remain vigilant and practice good biosecurity to help prevent the introduction and spread of this contagious virus. Check out the following to see our biosecurity recommendations:

2026 Dates!

Happy Thanksgiving to my amazing clients, friends and family. This is my favorite holiday and I look forward to it each and every year. I’m so blessed to get up every morning and work with such amazing horses and clients.

Hello RRHA competitors, supporters and sponsors!
Due to an abundance of caution, and putting all of the horses wellbeing first, we have decided to end our 2025 season and cancel our last show of the season.

The EHV outbreak has caused many facilities to close for equine events, or to postpone or cancel shows, as many barns go into a 14-21+ day quarantine. This pushes everyone deep into winter travel season, and adding another “what if” to traveling with horses over the mountains and passes of Oregon. This is not something we want our competitors, spectators and sponsors to have to deal with. Safety for all is our #1 priority.

We WILL have a year end awards get together early in 2026. There will be details to come, but it will be held in Southern Oregon, and we will also be live-streaming the awards presentations for all who cannot attend.
Have no fear! Those who qualified will receive their awards, either in person or we will ship them to you if you are unable to attend.
All of us on the board appreciate your understanding of our decision, and hope everyone has a safe, and enjoyable holiday season!

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) is unwavering in its commitment to the health and welfare of every horse participating in our events. After continued consultation with the State Veterinarians of Oklahoma and Texas and a careful review of the evolving Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1) situation, NRHA will delay the start of the NRHA Futurity, with move in to begin on Nov. 27.

This will comply with the scientific guidelines for reducing the risk of EHV, which has a 2-10-day incubation period.

Plans to reschedule this year’s Adequan® North American Affiliate Championships (NAAC) are under way and will be communicated soon. Only Futurity horses will be allowed on the grounds to reduce the risk of exposure and horse concentration.

Current information indicates that the confirmed EHV cases remain linked to a single, non-reining event in Waco, Texas, with no evidence of spread into the reining community or into Oklahoma City. However, NRHA recognizes that the scale and open-entry nature of the NAAC presents additional biosecurity challenges that are not present in the Futurity alone. Limiting the event to Futurity horses only significantly reduces traffic, complexity, and overall risk, strengthening the ability to protect the horses competing.

A one-week delay provides meaningful time for animal health officials to continue tracing, monitoring, and confirming that no secondary cases emerge. This brief pause also gives exhibitors and owners the ability to adjust travel plans and arrive with greater confidence.

The NRHA Futurity is a cornerstone of our sport, and proceeding with this single, controlled event—with enhanced biosecurity protocols—reflects NRHA’s commitment to thoughtful, science-based decision-making. Although postponing the Adequan® NAAC is deeply disappointing, prioritizing horse welfare and providing clarity for our community must come first.

NRHA will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate any updates promptly.

Futurity horses only will move in on Nov. 27, with classes beginning on Nov. 29. A detailed schedule will follow.

A tough decision to make on the heels of this outbreak. I know my team and I were excited and looking forward to this show. Thank you RRHA I know you did all you could to keep everyone safe by ensuring separated stalls and increasing bio security measures among other things you went above and behond to try and make this work for everyone.

Meanwhile back on the ranch… The Northern Grace Team has decided since we were already loaded (some on the road already and turning around) to make the most of the day and ride our horses at home, run some patterns and have a fabulous potluck lunch with meals prepared for the show. We will continue to train at home and ensure we are ready for the show when this passes.

Our trail clinic last weekend was a spooktacular success. Everyone learned and improved throughout the clinic. It was a blast and the group was fantastic! Can’t wait to work all the training horses and finish up with lessons on the course. Keep an eye out for our next clinic! Let me know what obstacles you want added?

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
