UPDATE: Floren has been ADOPTED!!!

Meet Floren: Looking for a best friend, soulmate, life partner, and emotional support human.

At first, Floren may act like he doesn’t know you. He might hang back. He might give you the suspicious side-eye. He may need a little time to decide whether you are trustworthy.

But once Floren determines that you are his person, congratulations: you now have a Floren. Forever.

Personal space? Gone.
Privacy? A distant memory.
Going to the bathroom alone? Absolutely not.

Floren is a certified Stage-Five Clinger™ who believes the ideal distance between himself and his favorite human is approximately zero inches. He wants to sit with you, sleep with you, follow you from room to room, supervise your activities, stare lovingly into your soul, and generally become an extension of your body.

Working from home? Floren will be your unqualified assistant.

Watching TV? Floren will be on you.

Taking a nap? Floren has been training his entire life for this moment.

Walking into another room for 14 seconds? Floren would like an explanation.

He can be a little unsure in new situations, so he needs someone willing to give him time to settle in and feel safe. But once that trust is earned, the payoff is enormous: a ridiculously affectionate, devoted little love bug who will look at you like you personally invented canned cat food.

If you’ve ever thought, “I wish someone were more obsessed with me,” Floren would like to submit his application.

Adopt Floren: because boundaries are overrated and true love is Velcro-shaped.

Happy National Cat Day! 🐾
Sebastian is our one and only clinic cat, and he is very much loved. At 18 years old, he's benefited from a lifetime of great veterinary care.
As some of you know, we lost Poppy this past April — but her spirit is still very much present with us (you can spot her in the background of our photo).
Cats can be independent creatures, but they sure do enjoy snuggles from their favorite humans. Drop a comment with a picture of your lovely feline below! 🐱

Gracie stopped by today for her leptospirosis booster vaccine and handled it like a champion! 🌟 Of course, no visit would be complete without making her rounds to collect cuddles and belly rubs from every team member. 🥰

💡 Did you know? Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease that can be spread through contaminated water or wildlife urine. It can cause serious illness in both dogs and people, making vaccination an important part of protecting your pup—especially if they love the outdoors! 🌿💦

Way to go, Gracie! Thanks for brightening our day with your sweet personality and fearless spirit. ❤️🐶

Reflecting on the June 2026 data, and the numbers speak for themselves: 1 in 30 dogs tested nationwide are positive for Lyme disease. With over 57,000 positive cases recorded out of 1.5 million tests already this season, the pressure is on.

But as a clinician, you know that national averages only tell part of the story. Tick-borne disease doesn't care about state lines, it thrives on a hyper-local level. A 3.70% national prevalence rate means certain counties are facing massive, concentrated spikes in endemic activity right now.

Don't let your clients rely on generalized advice. Use this map to drill down into your specific county data, arm your staff with the exact statistics, and confidently advocate for annual screening.

When you own your county's data, you protect your patients.

Finn the Labrador Retriever is wishing you all the best—and hoping for a little cheese to celebrate. He just completed a great tech appointment for his boosters and is scheduled to return in one month for his next round of shot.

Summer brings sunshine, travel, cookouts, gardening, and more outdoor adventures, but it can also bring increased risk of toxin exposure for pets.

AAHA teamed up with to highlight common summer pet toxins veterinary teams may encounter, including:

🌊 Blue-green algae

🌿 THC/marijuana products

🌺 Azaleas, rhododendrons, and oleander

🐌 Slug and snail bait

🐭 Rodenticides

The article also includes a printable client handout your team can use in exam rooms, discharge packets, newsletters, or social media education.

With potential poisonings, early intervention matters. Help clients know what to watch for and remind them to call their veterinary team or a resource like Pet Poison Helpline right away if exposure is suspected.
